i mean i do appreciate it for giving a really realistic view of the zones wildlife, i find it very strange all of these lab made mutants can reproduce and be found far far away from labs, ie controllers, snorks, burers, and such being PLENTIFUL and found in zones with no labs. theres a thin line stalker walks between being a believable immersive game and another mutant shoot em up with no explanation of why hundreds of sterile mutants can survive many years around humans.

I do appreciate the author´s effort making this addon, however..
it shows that many people jump on the "youtube-made" Anomaly hypetrain recently

Many underestimate the Lore that goes with Stalker you could say the Zone and it´s Sandbox-narrative are the reason this Fanbase is what it is today...

and that´s why some feel the need for addons like this
they jump in and don´t understand the history and unrealness of the Zone.

i feel like its also because stalker's lore and the actual gameplay has a lot of inconsistency, like in my other comment, the lore mutants have and their spawns in game do not match up at all so people feel the need to either make mods to force them to conform to the lore, or just make the zone like it would be irl. stalker is immersive but it also has a lot of immersion breaking issues, mostly in the form of man made mutants spawning wherever they feel like in ridiculous numbers

I agree, i would appreciate more if there's also a set that spawns "very rare" mutants in the urban/semiurban zones (in a minor number ofc), but not almost totally removed please, this is like killing the stalker lore only for the sake of "realism" and to be honest, stalker isn't a real story but it's mixed with real human behaviour in a unrealistic zone which is what everyone falls in love with it.

exactly, stuff like pseudogiants and chimeras should be like real urban legends or folklore to the zone, instead of "oh well theres a living semi truck over there lemme go fight it". it would make them a lot scarier and imposing rather than something you just deal with daily or out and about, if that makes sense. think like bigfoot or wendigos but if they actually existed

I've been playing Stalker for three years, I understand the lore more than you think. Not everyone wants base lore for their experience. All this mod does is make the spawns realistic and only spawns the mutants that are realistic. I'm not telling anyone they have to download this mod but I do find it rather silly that a mod that spawns more mutants is praised and has a great rating but a mod that keeps it in logic is already at a 4.6 which is kind of a bummer. It's not fair to downvote a mod because you don't like the idea of it. Not everyone wants a hardcore experience.

People prefer arcade over realism in anything. That's why games like GTA or Counter-strike are so popular.
I gave your mod a 10, even if I don't plan to use it, but I like the idea

I have looked in In configs and I see just few removed vanilla Anomaly's spawn sections.

Some of the spawns have been removed but all of the spawns have been individually edited

Why would you remove dogs from cities? The Zone is supposed to be "reclaimed by nature". There are wild dogs living in Pripyat in real life. The abandoned buildings make good shelter for wildlife, and there are plenty of things to eat there, that being the other animals.

True, in real life dogs do live in the city but they are not being shot at and being used as food. After a while if this was the case in real life there would be no more dogs because they all would have been killed off and would not reproduce. If you read the desc when you first play there will be dogs in Pripyat but after a while they will be killed off by you or ncps

Look, Stalker is a flexible game to mod, just because you don't like the idea of there only being certain mutants is not my problem nor do I care . No one is telling you have to download the mod and put it in your game. Everyone has their preferences when playing, I am all for constructive criticism but unless your gonna make a better mod or your going to download and use it I really don't care what you have to say.

Hi, tasks for parts of mutants are cut from the NPCs?

Depends on what mutant it is, if it's rats, cats, dogs, flesh, or boars its fine but any other mutant it will not work because they no longer spawn.

If you did spawns based off terrain for all mutants, that would be pretty dope but also a daunting process. Something like Bloodsuckers spawning out in the brush swamplands and forested areas instead of the middle of a valley like Cordon would be nice, and would make you consider the travel for doing Butcher missions. I like your idea of making the highly irradiated zones less "full of life", as even these lab created mutants would surely succumb to the Zone.

Good job with the mod, it's great that people are creating all sorts of things for this game.

Thank you very much for your kind words! This mod took about 2 weeks to make and each smart terrain was handpicked to a realistic setting. But I'm glad to see at least a few people admire my work.

No problem bro. I personally like the older spawns because of nostalgia, but it's nice that you're trying your own system out. One thing to note would be modifying the quest pool to take out the bloodsucker, controller, etc parts quests so it doesn't wreck someone's game with inaccessible missions

gamedata\configs\misc\task is where all of the task related .ltx files are. I'm pretty sure all of the dynamic quests are pulling from a pool for mutant parts, but I'm not sure exactly where that is without digging into every config file lol

I did not touch any of the task's but if the problem comes up i'll be sure to fix it.

Kind of wish there was an alternate version that kept bloodsuckers and chimeras, as "realistically" these mutants would be capable of breeding. Making them a rare and extremely rare spawn in less populated areas like the Red Forest or Jupiter would be fine imo.

I did not edit any of the quest spawns so you will still be able to find these mutants if you get a quest from say trapper or whatever.

Just what I've been looking for! I have wanted a mod that kept the realistic/plausible mutants for my first playthrough on warfare mode

A quick question, will this mod work on EFP 3.0? Also, do you think would it work on any call of pripyat mod.

Finally, i was looking for something like this for such a long time. Perfect for my "realistic" and desolate mod pack. Mutants like bloodsuckers are supposed to be folk tales told around campfires to scare rookies most of the time, most Stalkers probably don't even believe psy mutants exist. (take controllers for example, they seem too fantastical even in a place like the Zone) While still having some of them spawn in underground locations (which noone in their right minds would dare venture into, as it's obviously a suicidal endeavor) even if not intentionaly, makes a whole more sense.
