Adds a new assault rifle, the SR15. This is a kitbash of various parts from an existing addon onto the SR25 to make a new 5.56 rifle.
I wanted a new AR-15 style rifle in the game but without the big leupold mark 4 scope on the SR25. So I spent a few days working on this.
This is a kitbashed model using parts and textures from CW_wp

onto the SR25 to assemble a modern AR15 style rifle in 5.56. So I didn't do any real 3d modelling work, and its really just a tweaked SR25 model with a new sight and magazine and a shorter receiver. Credits to CW_wp for HAMR, magazine and stock assets. Not sure about how mod licenses work (especially with these assets) so I will delete this if there are issues.
The reflex sight on top of the HAMR scope is functional*. You do not need to do anything with attachments to use both the HAMR scope and the reflex sight, you just need to press 'V' or whatever key you have bound to use grenade launcher to switch.

Details
It's called SR15 LPR, but it's really a mishmash of different guns.
This addon includes both HUD models and 3rd person models.
Might be overpowered in vanilla. This was balanced with YIMs weapon tweaks as reference.
There are very minimal art additions to this game for compatibility reasons. It uses existing SR25 assets for icons and 2D artwork. Since there is no inventory dds files to merge, it should be simple to merge this with other mods*.
The SR15 takes advantage of the alt_aim functionality in Anomaly exe to switch between the red dot and the 4x sight. This functionality is slightly buggy and implemented inside the src which I don't have access to, so I cannot fix any issues with it.
This comes with patches for Anomaly magazines, but nothing else.
*only if you use the XM8 replacement. New weapons cause a bunch of compatibility issues with other mods.
Installation
There are two ways to add this weapon to your game: Replace existing gun (XM8), or add as a new gun. Replacing existing XM8 is recommended for max compatibility. I didn't test adding it as a new weapon very thoroughly.
Why replace the XM8? Because this gun is not used very much in the game, and pretty much only the player can acquire it. Also, the XM8 is basically just a different looking G36, so it doesn't add a lot of value to the game. And finally, it doesn't really make sense to appear in the Zone as a very mediocre experimental weapon. This will add the XM8 to loadouts for mercs and monolith.
- You must drop in the SR15_Required folder
- Copy in either SR15_Replace_XM8 or SR15_New_Weapon. If you are adding this as a new weapon, the weapons are added to some traders and some loadouts.
- Copy in the patches if needed.

Modding Notes
- This weapon is internally called TX15, not SR15. Originally the weapon was supposed to be the TX15 DML.
- Only the <st_wpn_sr15> and <st_wpn_sr15_desc> is needed inside the st_items_weapons.xml.
- Anomaly magazines implementation renames the XM8 magazine string instead of adding a new string. This is only true for the XM8 replacement option.

Drop in the sr15_required folder, then copy in either the sr15_replace_xm8 or sr15_new_weapon.

Are you adding it as a new weapon or replacing the xm8? Make sure you are merging the base.ltx file if you have other mods

g36c without the "carry handle" and can be equipped with various scopes(c-more,eot,red dot etc.)! :) I know it's a bit demanding but I really like this gun. Please make it happen :D
So the main issue with this is that something like this modifies mesh topology and texture mapping and I am not an artist. Its probably pretty easy to just delete the carrying handle, but filling in the hole with good looking art would take me some time. Additionally, creating the picatinny rails would be hard. I could rip those from tarkov, but there are other issues with that (some tarkov assets look really bad because they are designed to work with specific shaders that stalker does not have). It would be relatively simple to kitbash some stuff together but making it look decent would take a lot of time. I have been doing some experimentation with tarkov assets and rewriting some shaders but it has not been going well.

there is a giant hole in the mesh that I don't know how to fill. it needs a picatinny rail but there are no iron sights.

Customized prosperity reshade as well as my ssao shader
Do you turn off the SSAO in reshade when using this? Or use both together?
with my ssao shader you do not want SSAO in reshade as my ssao shader runs faster and you will get twice the same effect
Can somebody please tell me what does the phrase "You must drop in the SR15_Required folder" means? I don't understand the task "drop in"? Where should drop I that file? I'm very confused :/

Hi, I have the issue in 1.5.1 where the "zoom" is totally off. in essence it looks like the player is holding the gun half a meter in front of his face. is that due to the FOV setting?

To fix the aiming bug just creat a file and name it "weapon_fov_values.ltx" and add in one of those lines :
If you added a new gun then use this :

OR
If you replaced XM8 rifle then use this :

To fix the reloading issue simply replace inside the file w_tx15.ltx the anims named "anm reload = ..." by
anm_reload = scar_reload_short, reload_short
and add this one too :
anm_reload_empty = lancew_scar_reload, reload
For the reloading sounds to match them replace inside the w_tx15.ltx the 2 lines starting by SND with :
snd_reload = weapons\scar\scar_reload
snd_reload_empty = weapons\scar\scar_reload_empty
