Does this reduce armor ratings according to which helmet they had, or is it just a buff for helmeted armors? Secondly, would you consider an alternate version that just removes the sprint funtion? I like the helmet and backpack functions, but the sprinting is a bit much for me, as it directly causes a redundancy.

TimMiner explained that separate helmets/respirators actually have no armor value (against bullets).

Battle Helmet (I assume sphere 12):
hit_fracti

hit_fration_actor is protection, 1 means 0%. It can be edited in o_helmet.ltx

Armors with a built in helmet are "better".

He suggested these values if you edit the .ltx file:

Battle = CLASS III = around 0.25
Tactical = CLASS III - = around 0.35
Hard hat = CLASS IIIA = around 0.75
Scientific = CLASS II = around 0.45
respirator = Unarmored (very little protection) = around 0.9
No helmet = No protection = 1

I would want to... but I somehow can't edit the base.ltx in the outfits folder, it contain outfit restrictions that is specify for armors such as exo suits and SEVA suits. I believe it is outfit_restriction_3, you can change it to:

helmet_avaliable = true
backpack_avaliable = true

Sorry I can't help you :( because somehow it will crash my game if I edit the file.

So please clarify, if other helmets you can now wear are not as good as the exosuit helmet, then it is just for fashion?

If you can now wear a backpack on a Voyager suit (which already has a huge backpack and therefore a big carry weight), this just adds more carry weight?

The outfits in the game, although visually they got a backpack or a helmet attached to them, they are not actual backpacks and helmets.

For example Exoskeleton suit will provide psi protection not because there is a helmet attached to it, it is the SUIT status which provide it and it also block the slot for helmet so it makes you think it got a default helmet.

And yes, adding another backpack to the Voyager suit will add more carry weight :)

This is a good mod but can you please update it to work with the latest hotfix if possible? Thank you and have a wonderful day.

Mask overlay still exists when you have exo but helmet not worn - which is annoying because the benefit of separate helmet is being able to remove the helmet and getting rid of the overlay in safe areas. I can't work out how to remove mask overlay when exo is equiped so easy fix is to edit the overlay textures for exo with paint.net - ie. make them blank.

Hello!

What did you edit in the LTX files to use backpacks? I don't see any differences between the original LTX files and yours.

I want to make a mod with some visual changes for the novice outfits and I want the tourist jacket to be able to use with backpacks.
