QOL ammo box for keeping your inventory a little more sorted.
AMMOBOX
A simple old ammunition box which you can buy from the flea market for cheap. It's only purpose is to clean up your inventory a little bit. Just right click to open. (after install you may need to click it twice)

Don't buy more than one ammo box! Otherwise the script doesn't know which one to open.

I will not provide any compatibility patches. Simply because thats more work than the mod itself. But everyone should feel free to create some.

lol yeah, EFT is not a bad game but it would be cool if we could also have SFX sounds/viewmodels/interface from other FPS games such as Arma and Project reality.
True, but I think EFT works better because EFT has incredble animations, models, and sounds, and the art style is much dirtier/grimier than in many other games, so it feels at home in the zone.
Nice work! I wanted to do something like this recently, but you beat me to it. So for any future updates, could you expand the addon to include a separate box/pouch for weapon/armor parts, food, medical items etc? Thank you
I just posted at the bottom about this. Im not a scripting expert but from what I can tell, a separate script would need to be made for different containers. Once I'm home from work, I'm gonna toy with it and see if multiple can exist at once. If so, this could easily be done by simply using different UI icons. I'll let you know after i mess with it.

A long time ago I built the bags from the AREA Mod into my game. Unfortunately, I was unable to use the "Open" menu because Anomaly does not understand the code.
I wasn't able to rewrite it either.
I was hoping now that you did. :)
So it stays with right-click-open.
More modding suggestions, make a similar one for medical items so the excess don't clutter like "medical pouch" or "food bag"

I just downloaded this and made my own tweaks for personal use. If anyone is curious, the box CAN be used for other items, but I'd recommend increasing the maximum weight allowed. Personally, I made a dimensional pocket for my game. Unless you can set what can and can't be stored, im not sure these medical pouch ideas would fully work. Youd basically just have to create several of them and label them differently. Thats just my 2 cents (or whatever Russians use for coins.)
Hey there. Just got off work and played around with it. You can totally duplicate the scrip, simply reference a separate ID and it will act as a separate box completely. So you could totally have a medical box, ammo box, misc box, whatever you want. If you want me to show you how I did, just PM me and I'll send the .ltx files. I'm about to make myself a bandolier of magazine pouches now.

Found a bug. When you put items in a box, the weight in your inventory increases. And when you take items from the box, the weight in the inventory increases again, what nonsense. In fact, the weight of the inventory should not change at all, because when you move items into the box, the weight in the inventory should decrease, and the weight of the box should increase relative to the total weight of the moved items.
So I don't know the cause of this as I can't code a calculator, but I found taking them out one at a time instead of using Take Al evens out the weight to what it should be. I tested it using both methods and can easily confirm with screens.

Does someone also have the problem that the objects stored in the Ammobox are not saved? At the next Saveload, the box is dead and can only be thrown away. Only the 'Details' function can still be called.
All my items are save in a box, even if I throw it away or put it in another box. True, I have not played with this mod yet, I just checked how it works, including the save function. But judging by the comments, it looks like the script breaks over time.
Are y'all using the take all command when you take stuff out? Cause it has a weird issue where the weight doubles if you do. Also, I've been playing around with this one and have yet to see my items disappear. I do know if you apply the script to a backpack, it functions the same, but using the Quick Release will wipe out the contents when you pick it back up. And despite what he says, keeping different script instances will allow you have multiple boxes, all with separately stored items. That's my two Roubles anyway.
Yes, I use the "take all" function a lot. Could you make the drawer open in the traditional way, as the rest of the items in the inventory are used?
I use your crate for everything but ammo. Funny huh? Because there is such a bug in the game due to which it is insane to store rounds in containers other than inventory. This is due to the crooked ammo counter, when ammo is lost when transferring from the container to the inventory. Sometimes hundreds of rounds disappear. This bug has existed since version 1.5.0.
Bro, it looks like the script really breaks over time. I started a new game, cleared the entire cordon, went to the swamps and there the box almost immediately stopped opening. All items are lost. I had to delete and start a new game again: (((
Ya, I back this up. Mine just now suddenly stopped working. Im pretty sure all the items disappeared (no big D), the condition is at 100% (nothong weird) but the weight is 0 kg. But its supposed to have its own wweight, plus the items. So ya I guess at some point the script just goes bust. Reloading prior saves didnt do anything. Very weird. A shame too, I really was excited to finally use one to keep some loot organized.
Would you please add more boxes? Like Med items, food and parts etc? Please I love the idea of having boxes instead of having everything all around.
