Now updated to v1.5! Having trouble sorting through all of your loot? Don't know whether to take the green pills or the yellow pills? I was too, so I made this mod. A follow up to Ammo Differentiation, this is my latest attempt to improve at-a-glance inventory readability in Anomaly.
Two versions: Full & Minimal. Full means that every Item that falls into an Icon category has an icon. Minimal removes icons from Mutant Parts, Drinks, the majority of Food, and most non-medical consumables. There's also a variant of Minimal that includes Mutant Part icons.
Changelog v1.5: Moved repair & crafting related icons to the top-right corner to prevent interference in crafting menus. Restored some additional clarity to the file as a whole by better isolating the alpha channel.

Be warned: Weapon attachment icons don't go away when you attach them to your gun. It makes small scopes & suppressors easier to find, but at a cost.

Definitely a good idea. I'm going to be redoing most of the medical icons to make them all a bit less same-y, so look for this in v2.0
Crafting kits could have a little more distinctive icon, now the blend too much with crafting components - if they icon would be for example color inverted, they would still refrain they original style. BTW great work!
Agreed. With v2.0 I'll have the hammer coming in from the bottom right rather than the bottom left.
Wow even if the icons show on weapons i see it as a feature, i mean ideally they shouldnt be there but it make it easier to see what weapons have attachments, the only problem is the suppressor icon show way to the right

I was wondering why your file size is really small, like 3 times smaller than even the original from DB... And I can't open it in Photoshop.
It's a .png with a .dds file extension. rename it to ui_icon_equipment.png and you'll have no problem opening it.
I won't lie, this should be in the game by default. Amazing job, dude!

I'm using version 1.5, with hotfix 8 and the 1.4 update.
I'm a big fan os Stalker, and rediscovered the game after so many years. And I keep finding these gems, like Call of Chernobyl before and now, Anomaly and its add-ons. Yours, it helps with the playability, at least for me. So thanks again!
This is SUPER useful in tight situations. One of the best QoL mods out there. Though, I've noticed this mod doesn't play well with Anomaly Magazine. Installing this OVER Anomaly Magazine erases the mag icons in the inventory leaving only the ammo indicator bar. Re-installing AM over this overwrites this mod completely. But I've only tried it with the FULL version.
Any recommendations or compatibility patch?
Just the ammo icons by themselves have already saved me HOURS of time. Enables quick decisions when looting in the field so helps immersion, and helps with crate / stash management back at base, giving more time to enjoy the game rather than waste it squinting at the screen. Should be part of the base mod. Thank you :)
would it be at all possible to get an update for this for the most recent version of anomaly and for BaS/Trader overhaul?
