This is a much needed addon. Thank you.
Please refrain from making the boxes spawn tushkanos or cats. They're already annoying and plentiful enough. I don't need to willingly spawn one right in front of me. I don't think you realize how deadly cats are at such close distances.

WOW Thanks man, I was actually wondering the other day how to do this since it was a thing in Dead Air (and thats where I came from after Finishing up Call of Pripyat)

Not exactly sure I want to be blown up again by stashes but hey, might make for some interesting gameplay along side with the possibility of tiny mutants like rats, tushkinos and possibly cats to spawn in boxes (though maybe leave cats to wooden boxes since the cats are a bit too big for cardboard. Perhaps some STALKER meant to ship out a cat in a box and you just happened to come across one and break it :D )
BTW, if you figure out how to do all that, you could make things OPtional in a simple manner...
Just provide more than one script
~Normal/Boring~ (No mutants or explosions)
~Dangerous Mutants~ (has a chance to spawn mutants but nothing explodes)
~Explosive Stashes~ (No mutants but **** can occasionally explode)
~Boxed mutants and explosive stashes~ (Get loot form paper boxes, mutants have a slight change to spawn in some boxes, and stashes occasionally explode as a booby trap)
don't worry it's all optional and coming in separated mods so you can choose :)

I've always thought that it would be nice if the paper boxes had a higher change of having medical items than crates.
Yes! I still didn't find a way to specify this. It's strange when you see a shovel popping from a tiny crate lol. I'll continue to investigate tomorrow, maybe i'll find a way.
edit : i think i find out how to do that
edit 2 : done ! needs some tweaks i'm on it :)
edit 3 : i think medical items would preserve better in metallic boxes so i switched them and put the regular loot in paper boxes, except big ones for wooden crates

i put a 1% chance for it finally. but in secret. in my other mod boxes loot redone. lol

I messed around with the files in your box to create a version of this addon which I use on my stream. The boxes have a chance to spawn a much wider variety of items and *also* have a chance to spawn a live grenade.
Since all I did was mess around with your hard work I haven't uploaded it yet. If you'd like I can just send you the files which allow for the spawning of a live grenade so you can add it to your own version.

so..is it every paper box that can be smashed or? the reason I ask is I'm running this on 1.5.1 and I hit these with a knife like 30 times and nothing, I am not running any other box loot type mods, just this one.
Hi Guest, some boxes are static objects and parts of the map itself, that's why some of them can't be smashed. You can identify those easily when bumping into them, they won't move a bit, they're... static objects.
