Kind of strange that mercs are hostile to almost all stalkers in CoC and Anomaly, mercs were supposed to be both hostile and neutral, like in CoP where some mercs are kind enough to be reasonable while others simply want stay away from stalkers and kill anyone who gets in their way.

I wonder if this could be possible to do in Anomaly, mercs squads roaming around the zone should be neutral while those in Dead City hostile.

I found that the best way to play a neutral merc.. is to disguise yourself until you hit 800 or so goodwill, then you can revel your true identity, and will be treated as neutral on an individual level.

But as a whole, the mercs are mostly hired guns, contracted by UN clients if i remember correctly, who competes for artefacts with the loners and often take hits on said loners, they are not trustworthy to have around you basically, you can see them as extra-eastern-europe better equipped bandits.

Thing is, mercs are kinda like loners in the sense that their morals are not unified, some loners are borderline bandits and others are nice people and same with mercs. But it´s not possible to do it like that in Anomaly without some serious work. Also I think they cooperate with the UN but their true patron is a group called The Syndicate, no clue who they are

10/10

Now I can play 1 Life Merc ironman playthroughs without being sent to clear the entirety of Rostok on my first mission.

Does it work with current games or do you need to make a new one?

Hey Author,
I have few questions about this mod
Does the neutral mercs only be neutral to the player?
Or they neutral to all stalkers in the zone?
What about Duty?
And yet, are they gonna shoot my companions if they are duty or free stalkers?
Thank you for answering
I am looking forward to seeing your message

I have a question. It happens that I am on duty and every time I try to approach a mercenary he shoots me even though he comes out as if it were ours. I don't understand what is happening. Any suggestions?

It's not working. I've just come to "Dead City" and they have started to shoot at me on sight, unless I have to start a new game (which I didn't).

Does it work on 1.5.1? I'm gonna assume it does cause I guess it just modifies some files rather than adding new ones right?

Just now merged the script with the one from Improved Ranks Revisited and I do not know why but this one here does make Duty (dolg in script) and Freedom friends (Only edited in one line, not the others so it is by mistake. That makes only sense because Freedom and Duty should be enemy's).

The second weird change is that the Actor as Duty got 0 good standing with Duty instead of the normal 300.
