The stand-alone mod S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly aims to be the most stable and customizable experience for fans of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games. It's powered by the Monolith 64-bit engine, a custom fork of the X-Ray engine.
This music has been archived by the uploader because it is out of date and no longer supported. We recommend you browse the file list for the latest music.
Replaces music in all areas (Cordon, Garbage, Yantar, etc) with music from Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. Now with optional combat and main menu music!
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s pretty great, right?
Know what else is great?
Metroid Prime.
Know what else is great?
Music from Metroid Prime.
--What does this do?--
This modpack comes with three mods to change various music tracks and themes of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly into music from Nintendo's acclaimed sci-fi first-person-adventure shooter Metroid Prime as well as its sequel Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.
Even if you've never played Metroid, nearly all these themes are either extremely atmospheric and fit Stalker well, or just straight slap hard, and i recommend you give it a try.
This is my first attempt at modding and it's somewhat buggy, see below.
==Metroid Level Music==
Replaces the music for all levels in S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly (Cordon, Garbage, Yantar, etc) with music from Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.
Which tracks are used in no particular order:
Cordon and Meadow > Tallon Overworld Depths from Metroid Prime
Garbage > Chozo Ruins Depths from Metroid Prime (After you get morph ball and missiles)
Great Swamps > Torvus Bog from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Zaton > Puzzle Theme from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Jupiter > Crashed Frigate Entrance from Metroid Prime
Pripyat > Temple Grounds from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Wild Territory > Magmoor Caverns from Metroid Prime
Rostok > Phendrana Drifts from Metroid Prime
Dark Valley > Agon Wastes from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Darkscape > Dark Agon Wastes from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Truck Cemetery > Space Pirate Labs from Metroid Prime
Radar > Ing Hive from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Army Warehouses > Dark Samus Approaching from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Agroprom > Tallon Overworld from Metroid Prime
Yantar > Phendrana Drifts Depths from Metroid Prime
Dead City > Chozo Ruins (First Arrival, youtube names are messed up!) from Metroid Prime
Limansk > Phazon Mines from Metroid Prime
Red Forest > Dark Torvus Bog from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Deserted Hospital > Dark Energy Controller from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Generators > Sanctuary Fortress from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Chernobyl CNPP > Space Pirate Ambiance from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Generic Spooky Theme > Phazon Radiation from Metroid Prime
Scary Theme > Space Frigate Orpheon from Metroid Prime
Generic spooky theme is for agroprom underground, scary theme is for the labs and similar areas.
==Metroid Combat Music==
Adds combat music which will play during fights. Can be buggy but is extremely epic most of the time.
Music used:
Theme 1: Space Pirate Battle from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Theme 2: Dark Samus Battle from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Theme 3: Dark Trooper Battle from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Theme 4: Ing Battle from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Theme 5: Miniboss Battle from Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
Theme 5 didn't play in normal fights for me that i could see, it might be tied to a specific enemy type or area or something, could also be the game can only use 4 themes, i kept it in anyway cuz i spent time editing it. >:(
NOTE: Due to the way stalker plays its dynamic combat music, i personally had to split each theme into three parts as well as make it loopable. I have zero music or sound editing experience, and while they work fine, the transition from each part to the next as well as the loop for each theme can sound a little awkward and janky. Use if you can bear it, although the amazing-ness of the original tracks are good enough to counteract my shoddy work imo.
==Metroid Main Menu Music==
Contains three options of Metroid Prime music to change the main menu theme to.
Metroid Prime 1 Title Theme
Metroid Prime 1 End Theme (cool remix of title theme)
Metroid Prime 2 Title Theme
Doesn't play when paused, only when in the main menu.
FAQ:
Q: Why no music from Metroid Prime 3: Corruption?
A: Cuz i haven't played that in years and am planning to soon and don't want spoilers. :p
Q: Some music is too quiet/loud, can i change it?
A: The Main Menu and Combat themes cane be a little loud, i agree, and there is no way to change them other than changing the volume of the actual files. if you dislike them you may have to simply play without them.
For Level music, if you go in the files and find configs>game_levels_music you'll see a list defining each theme to each area. To change the music change the third variable. For instance:
[cordon]
music level\cordon\Tall 24, 0.2, 20, 40
Change the 0.2 to anything you like, 0.4 is about as loud as i think anybody would want.
Q: Is this compatible with X sound mod IE Sound Conversion or EFT sound mods?
A: It should be compatible with any mod that doesn't edit any music in gamedata>sounds>music>level or the file gamedata>configs>game_levels_music as they're the only files this mod touches.
Q: There seems to be a problem.
A: Yeah i know i'm new to modding and don't have time to fully bugtest this. Post problems and bugs below.
Installation, updating and uninstallation:
Install: Just copy-paste the gamedata folder to your Stalker folder as per usual.
Uninstall: See the readme in the file.
Update: Copy paste to your gamedata and click overwrite all if it asks you to.

I believe that the music setting itself to 0 is a bug caused by enabling Dynamic Music in the Audio Settings. Try turning it off (I think its an old buggy setting since you still hear music with it off)
If this addon needs the dynamic music enabled, this should fix that issue.

Hey, yeah, that seems to have worked. A ton of maps/tracks still seem to randomly work or not work though. The ones i've tested:
agroprom: works
cordon: works
yantar: works
great swamps: doesn't work
limansk: works
dead city: works
red forest: doesn't work
rostok: works
wild territory: works
cherno: doesn't work
garbage: works
jupiter: works
military warehouses: doesn't work
priyat: doesn't work
radar: doesn't work
scary: works
truck graveyard: works
I don't know if it's a problem with my game, my computer, or just the game itself.
Just now saw accolyte's reply.
That seems to have fixed the bug but once again some maps simply don't output music.
Also a lot of the maps that do work still require you to save, quit and reload for the music to start playing.
I'm at a total loss for what to try now.
Amazing music from an amazing game, suits Stalker well enough! Lets hope MP4 has cool music.
I might have found the issue for some tracks not playing. The tracks that are supposed to play in the Swamps/Mil Warehouses/Red Forest/CNPP/Pripyat and Radar have 32000Hz sampling rate(too low for XRay engine),your tracks need to have 44100Hz sampling rate to work.
Yoo that's great, but i have zero music and sound knowledge lol. What could i go about doing to fix that?
Nevermind, i figured it out myself, (i'm not dumbo i swear) and now everything works flawlessly as far as i can tell! Thanks so much!
Publishing update v1.1 now.
You got Metroid in my S.T.A.L.K.E.R.! No! You got S.T.A.L.K.E.R. in my Metroid!
oh my god this is such an oddly appropriate OST for this game
So i'm trying to get combat music to work. I replaced the fight themes with space pirate and dark samus battle themes from MP2. I had to cut them up and make them loopable myself, but the space pirate one worked flawlessly and sounds like it's meant to be there, the dark samus one has a somewhat awkward loop but is still epic.
The problem is in-game they don't normally trigger, they just cut out the normal music i already have playing. To get the themes to trigger, i have to once again save, quit and reload, and even then they sometimes don't start.
I have no clue why and it's ticking me off.
If i can make this work the potential for optional battle themes is endless. There's like a dozen battle themes across prime 1 and 2 that would fit into Stalker easily.
Alright, after some testing it seems the problem was it was trying to play a third and fourth obviously non-existent combat theme, so i added Ing Battle and Dark Trooper Battle themes, now combat music works perfectly. I also figured out how to change the main menu music, so that's awesome.
New update v2 will come with optional mods to change combat and main menu music. Huzzah!
