If the shrooms had proper world models, you could add them to the dynamic loot mod in a special category of locations on the ground, near trees etc... Wild mushroom foraging. Been thinking about this with plants too, like weed and tobacco.
Oof, when i tried to install the xray import/export addon for blender it didn't work for me, I'll have to try again soon because that's an excellent idea
