The stand-alone mod S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly aims to be the most stable and customizable experience for fans of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games. It's powered by the Monolith 64-bit engine, a custom fork of the X-Ray engine.
Replaces music in all areas (Cordon, Garbage, Yantar, etc) with music from Metroid Prime and Metroid Prime 2: Echoes. Optional combat and main menu music! FOR 1.5.1 RELEASE!
S.T.A.L.K.E.R.'s pretty great, right?
Know what else is great?
Metroid Prime.
Know what else is great?
Music from Metroid Prime.
--What does this do?--
This modpack comes with three mods to change various music tracks and themes of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly into music from Nintendo's acclaimed sci-fi first-person-adventure shooter Metroid Prime as well as its sequel Metroid Prime 2: Echoes.
Even if you've never played Metroid, nearly all these themes are either extremely atmospheric and fit Stalker well, or just straight slap hard, and i recommend you give it a try.
This is my first attempt at modding and it's somewhat buggy, see below.
--New Version--
Fixes some bugs, replaces old warehouse theme which actually had a snippet of a battle theme in it that caused confusion and made me think i was getting attacked (lol), and updated it to work on Update 1.5.1.

FAQ:
Q: Why no music from Metroid Prime 3: Corruption?
A: Cuz i haven't played that in years and am planning to soon and don't want spoilers. :p
Q: Some music is too quiet/loud, can i change it?
A: The Main Menu and Combat themes can be a little loud, i agree, and there is no way to change them other than changing the volume of the actual files. If you dislike them you may have to simply play without them.
For Level music, if you go in the files and find configs>game_levels_music you'll see a list defining each theme to each area. To change the music change the third variable. For instance:
[cordon]
music level\cordon\Tall 24, 0.2, 20, 40
Change the 0.2 to anything you like, 0.4 is about as loud as i think anybody would want.
Q: Is this compatible with X sound mod IE Sound Conversion or EFT sound mods?
A: It should be compatible with any mod that doesn't edit any music in gamedata>sounds>music>level or the file gamedata>configs>game_levels_music as they're the only files this mod touches.
Q: There seems to be a problem.
A: Yeah i know i'm new to modding and don't have time to fully bugtest this. Post problems and bugs below.
Q: How can i support this?
A: Buy the games!
Installation, updating and uninstallation:
Install: Just copy-paste the gamedata folder to your Stalker folder as per usual.
Uninstall: Just delete the files. See the readme in the main file for a list of used ones.
Update: Copy paste to your gamedata and click overwrite all if it asks you to.

interesting
Music is great, you clearly went to some length to make sure the songs fit the regions as well as you can. Great job.
However I have to say that for some reason this mod forcibly resets my volume settings every time I launch the game and load my game. Not sure why.
Hey! Love the mod but the menu music caused a strange bug where I could not select the "New Game" option. Removing the .xml file fixed my issue... I'll keep the in-game music for now but I decided I'd let you know.
