The stand-alone mod S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly aims to be the most stable and customizable experience for fans of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games. It's powered by the Monolith 64-bit engine, a custom fork of the X-Ray engine.
Adds a keybind to inspect weapon in hand. Also includes a modified version of FireModeCheck script by Ishmael to play the inspection animation for checking fire mode.

It is required for modified FireModeCheck script. Not needed if you only want to use the standalone inspect version.
Can't seem to get it to work. Do you need the firemode check mod, or some other mod for this to work?
Standalone version doesn't need firemode check mod. Just use the keybind defined in MCM for "Inspect Weapon" (default: PERIOD) to trigger the animation. Do note that not all weapons have the required animation, so not all weapons will play an animation.
Ah, I see. That must've been the problem, I was trying to use this with an SVT and a PM lol, thanks for the help.
The inspection part seems to work on most guns, however I have Fire Mode Check and loaded your addon after it and when I check my ammo it doesn't do the animation.
Modifed FireModeCheck script will only play the animation if FireModeCheck is set to work in dual key mode, the weapon has multiple firing modes, and the weapon has an idle animation.

No luck getting this working either. Shows up in MCM config, but can't actually execute the action. Tried it with my AK-103, Remington 870 and Beretta. :(
Just checked the weapon configs in vanilla Anomaly. Looks like almost none of the weapons have any idle animations. I guess this addon is not very useful without weapon animation mods like Blindside.

it's a great addon, but is is there a way to inspect weapon and it counts the ammo when you inspect the weapon?
hey, great idea, but I have a suggestion - make it work under the default single key mode of the firemode check addon, so that:
- single tap - mode check + inspect animation
- double tap - mode switch
I can't think of a reason for why this wouldn't give the same result but streamlined into a single key. I assume you thought about it and decided against it for some reason. Is something conflicting?

The inspect animation is played partially or fully even on double tap with single key mode of firemode check addon. Having double tap play the inspect animation and single tap switch mode might work but I'm not sure if people want that.
no, no - I mean the other way around as mentioned above:
firemode checker in the default single mode key:
single tap for check + animation. double tap for switch.

this would be amazing for "ammo check"... I mean, there is no animation for ammo check so the show and hide weapon animations are used, this would be not accurate but nice for checking how much bullets are left in the mag for mods like Moddb.com. Nice mod anyways!

good idea. I find it really annoying how with blindside's the ammo check takes nearly longer than reload because of folding and unfolding of the stock on things like kyparis and scorpion
did (adaptation), if you can call it that. Just download it from the link and transfer it to your root folder with the replacement of files (but first make a backup copy of the original files). By pressing the (>.) key or the letter Ю on the Russian layout, you will simultaneously display information about the number of cartridges in the clip and the inspection of weapons. important!!! when viewed, not all weapons have animation. Checked with Blindsides Reanim Loner ON and OFF. No luck at all.
Many weapons don't have idle animations even with Blindside's reanimations. So this addon doesn't work with many weapons.
For some reason the firemodecheck no longer works correctly on 1.5.2, the character movements stops when you try to check the fire mode.
That's strange, the standalone version works fine with both 1.5.1 and 1.5.2. In case you were having the issue with FireModeCheck version, try the new update.

It only works with weapons which have idle animations; most vanilla weapons don't have them while a lot of BaS weapons do. You'll need weapon animation mods (by blindside, firebreath, etc) to add idle animations for vanilla weapons.
