Not an actual issue with HF - you have an outdated version of trader_autoinject.script (by a couple years at least) in your modlist that's overriding the one provided by HF (assuming you ticked the dependencies in the FOMOD installer).
Well, plenty of people are having the same issue, and this fixed it for me, so I released it.
After making a new modpack with only MCM & HF, it seems you're right, but that's not particularly obvious to most players, and many wouldn't know how to fix it themselves.
But this isn't a "fix". You still have an outdated trader_autoinject.script overriding the one provided by HF... The problem is not solved, you just quieted one of the symptoms.
This is just a load order issue that you're trying to solve with script hacks... It's kinda weird.
Well the crash doesn't happen anymore and there are no other symptoms, and if "script hacks" solve the issue, what's the problem?
