Now, seriously, i thought the Guiding tasks stopped prompting as we achieved higher ranks. I don't know, 7 days in the zone is quite a lot done already if you manage to pull it through.

You may not remember because of the bug this fixes. With the bug the tasks only get offered for the first in game week.
I just happen to experience this right now, i think i had only this mission offered to me the first day.. like twice.. on my unisg playtrough, now joined the stalker, doing goodwill for nearly everyone no one is asking me to take theirs hands trough the zone

I don't know why, but i usually have avoided those for the most part, they seemed more trouble then what they're worth.
It is the "in less than XX hours, i need someone to take me to a specific spot somewhere in the zone, paying X upfront then full amount once there" quest

I cannot start a new game with this mod enabled. I checked on a clean game with no other addons, and the game crashes when loading a level for the first time (default Loner start without changing any option). However, it is possible to start the game without the mod, save it, exit the game and turn it on - after this operation, it looks like it loads without crash. Can you check if you also have a problem with it?
The log doesn't look like it's showing anything noteworthy, no particular errors, it just breaks off suddenly, I think.

Good **** man! I was just yesterday wondering why those tasks would only show up at the very beginning of the game and stopped once after a few in zone days.

Hello, I have persistent crashes on new game creation (Ecologist)
Must be an incompatibility with something =(
So, I wouldn't call it a problem because it's a trifle and a very rare coincidence, plus, I don't know if it wasn't like that also without the mod, but - I got information about the available guide task during emission, when all the communications supposed to be lost. It happened not at the very beginning or the end of the whole event, but right in the middle of it. As I said, it's a small matter, and I don't know if it didn't happen also without your mod, but I let you know about it.
This happens in vanilla, at a minimum the npc is gonna move from the stated spot in his message, or just die and you will waste your time trying to find him.
A workaround would be someone modifying the conditions to not generate guide tasks during blow-outs.
The script is a nightmare which is why it was broken for so long with no one fixing it. I'm not going to change anything other than what it took to get it working again, sorry.
Oh, okay, just reporting what I noticed. I don't have much experience modding this game yet, so I don't know all the things that you just have to live with. Anyway, I can confirm that your mod works fine from day one to day eight, where I am now. Last time I was there and without your mod, there certainly wasn't any guiding requests.
I'm still getting consistent crashes when starting a new character :( It just gives a generic stack trace when I read my log so I'm unsure how helpful it will be, but I'll post it if you need it.

This crash is a nightmare to locate. your log won't be much help unfortunately.

I've been doing a really long playthrough (Like close to 150 in-game days so far) and I just noticed I stopped getting the guide task pda messages when the in-game date hit March 14, 2019. Don't know if this is even worth looking into as I kind of doubt many people do a single playthrough for that long, but I thought I'd mention it just in case.
EDIT: To clarify, in-game March 13, 2019 was the last day I got the guide task messages (I'm currently on March 23, 2019).

I stopped receiving the messages approximately after 30 days. I don't remember the day very well, but I'm on day 50 and it's been a long time since I received the messages. I'm in the TOP 1 of stalker. Maybe that's it.
your rank has nothing to do with it.
fixing the not getting the quest after 30days was the point of this fix. are you sure you have this installed correctly?
