I really like the idea, but it feels too crowdy on the meds with 3 or more icons... maybe a version with the badges starting on top left corner, I think you could put 3 of them all in the left side, and in the case of a 4 badge, you could put it next to the bottom left one, like in L shape... it's just an idea, but it's a good addon, it simplify things!
Tried different options, this seemed to be the best. In the upper left corner there is a counter for the number of items, it will intersect with the icons. The idea is for the badges to be large. In addition, they differ in different colors.
