The stand-alone mod S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly aims to be the most stable and customizable experience for fans of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games. It's powered by the Monolith 64-bit engine, a custom fork of the X-Ray engine.
A modern reshade set of presets using non-legacy techniques to provide an adaptive, artistic color grade.

changelog:
v0.5
- initial version
v0.5.6
- decreased brightness of highlights to avoid overexposure during midday
- slightly decreased sharpening of textures
- increased brightness of midtones during nighttime
v0.6
- adapted with Michiko's weather revamp. Install it if you don't have it already.
- added an alternative preset
- adjusted original preset
- disabled bloom by default. Enable it if you prefer.
v0.7
- balanced and renamed current presets
- presets are now separated into two categories: Cinematic and Filmic
- Cinematic presets are geared towards neutrally graded nights and inoffensively graded daytime lighting
- Filmic presets offer a stylized alternative with highly graded nights and days
- added two new presets: Autumn Cinematic and Cyanic Filmic
v0.8
- revamped the default preset:
- all static color grading effects have been compiled into a single lut file, saving performance
- re-added and overhauled the bloom shader, added chromatic abberation
- bloom has been adjusted against the brightest weather preset and now rarely overexposes
- chromatic abberation uses an anamorphic half sphere, it doesn't affect ui on the bottom half of the screen and is configured to be fairly subtle, only being visible in the inventory screen's upper half
- eye adaptation has been improved for dawn and dusk, brightness should now be similar to vanilla
- ADOF has been perfectly configured for screenshots, enable it when taking them
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NOTES: eye adaptation is the effect that can cause overexposure in the sky when looking at the ground, this is intended. There is no other way to increase the dynamic range in SDR while keeping shadows and highlights balanced against midtones. This isn't noticable in most weather presets other than the brightest ones.
Bloom has been re-added after a thorough re-evalutation. I believe the way it is implemented right now can satisfy even people who are against it, although should you remove it image quality shouldn't deteriorate considerably. Same applies to chromatic abberation, you really can't notice it during gameplay, but it improves the image subconsciously nonetheless. It also helps hide aliasing of tree branches and leaves, a notorious problem with the stalker games.
C.H.R.O.M.A.X - Neutral Cinematic [DEFAULT]
/ Aims for a neutral, but vibrant color scheme. There are still blue and amber hues, but much more subtle than the original preset. Nights are closer to vanilla, slightly brighter. /
C.H.R.O.M.A.X - Autumn Cinematic
/ Based on the neutral preset, but shifted towards auburn autumn colors. Nights gradate towards colder tones and are similarly bright as the default. /
[FILMIC]
C.H.R.O.M.A.X - Blueshifted Filmic
/ Original preset. Ambient light during nights and inside buildings is a colder blueish tone, during daytime it's a warmer amber tone. Nights are brighter. /
C.H.R.O.M.A.X - Cyanic Filmic
/ A desaturated cyanic preset with a focus on darker greens. Nights are graded in magenta with a similar brightness to cinematic presets. /
[OPTIONAL]
Effects disabled by default.
Console vars to adjust for preference, independent of preset. Default value in []. Edit them in your appdata/user.ltx file!
PD80_02_Bloom - Enable it if you like bloom. It's configured to be subtle, as it can clash with certain weather presets and/or introduce overexposure.
r2_sun_lumscale_amb [1] - Lower or increase this value to adjust brightness of ambient light in buildings and during nights.

This is extremely nice, 10/10.
Had to up brightness and gamma a few notches. It's currently 0730 game time and clear weather. Will report back when time/weather changes.
Edit: Jumped the gun, changed brightness and gamma back, ended up being too bright.
I really like the blue hues. The inventory screens even look better.
Edit2: Nights look awesome, the moonlight is much more realistic.
Thank you for your feedback.
Balancing brightness was one of my main concerns and I'm still not a 100% on nighttime currently, but I think it's just slightly darker than vanilla. I'm using a VA panel so I can afford to keep blacks low while still being able to see during near darkness, but most people with TN/IPS monitors might not have the same luxury.
Which is why I'm very open to feedback so I can make this look as balanced as possible with any monitor people might use. I can boost brightness during nighttime only if more people report issues.
I'd like to try this reshade and a few others on DX9, but it always crashes on launch with this error:
stack trace:
Do you know what could be the issue? I'm not running any overlays and I just updated my GPU-drivers.
If your game crashes on startup with a new reshade installation, make sure you've selected DX9, not the others. Also try disabling "Fullscreen Optimization" from your DX9 .exe in the bin folder. If it still CTD's it's probably something to do with your system or reshade itself, rather than a preset.
Not any reshade works for me on DX9, it's not your preset :) But I'll try that tip with fullscreen optimization now! If it works, I'll be so thankful =)
EDIT: IT WORKS! I had to disable fullscreen optimization and now it starts! Thank you so, so much! You're my hero!
You're welcome :)
I really like how this looks, SFZ made me appreciate exaggerated godrays during nights, wish it looked like that but it still looks amazing.
Godrays was an option on the table when I configured this, but the problem with most implementations is that it's only screen space and not very accurate. To me it always seemed to look off, unnatural. I could see if I can add an optional godrays shader that looks fine if you'd really like.
Hey, not sure what I'm doing wrong, i already had reshade installed so i just dropped your files in, your C.H.R.O.M.A.X ini and the reshade-shaders you provided, but when in game, the only two effects active are eyeadaption and artistic vignette, needless to say it doesnt look really any different to vanilla.
You're missing most of the effects. See if you can find the following in the list: prod80 (Bloom, Cinetools, Filmic Adaptation, Color Gradients) and DELC_Sharpen. I don't know why they're disabled, most likely because you didn't overwrite or install the included effects in the right folder structure and/or reshade isn't finding them. Make sure you also have the search paths in the settings configured properly.
Edit: If you've never installed the new repositories, you have to add each folder in your reshade-shaders/shaders to your search paths individually.
Hey, thanks for the quick response. Turns out like you said that reshade wasn't locating the files correclty for some reason. I've had shader files with subfolders before and normally it doesn't require me to directly path them myself it just finds them automatically, but that wasn't the case here for some reason. I had to direct reshade to all the individual sub folders in the shaders folder and then it worked. Thanks. The reshade looks good, a lot different to what I am used to, will keep trying it and maybe tinker with it a little. Thanks! :D
edit: After playing with it for a little while, it's not really to my tastes. However i can see a lot of work has gone into this and it can look great. Not only that but it's still been really beneficial to me as i've learnt some great new reshade effects to tinker with my own personal reshade. The DELC_Sharpen is pretty fantastic for improving textures.
Thanks for the feedback. Feel free to direct any suggestions for improvement my way.
How to install this mod?
Read the description.
Too many sharp(over 9000), sky is overbloomd, or how dat in english...
Are you sure your light settings in anomaly are all default? Also, what monitor are you using?
edit: I've gone ahead and lowered the highlight boosting on the tonemap and adjusted sharpening. D/L it again and try.
Amazing ReShade! Finally one that uses the latest ReShade technology instead of the old ones. Everything looks much more realistic and modern (graphic/colour wise) thank you so much and keep it up!! (Forgot to sign in)
Thanks for the kind words.
Your reshade gives a superb impression. Good job.
But if I want to see the clouds I have to lower the gamma and brightness in the game settings, and now it gets way too dark.
Do you have any advice to remedy it?
Sounds like you want to play with the bloom exposure settings in the shader.
Thank you for the answer.
I adjusted some parameters a bit and with some small sacrifices the experience is worth it because the immersion is increased.
This reshade is awesome! Hope you keep tripping on the shaders and sharing :) Have u done reshades for other projects/games?
Just uploaded gameplay recording in Pripyat using this... came out real epic...
Damn... Youtube's still processing the upload... will update here as soon as its on.
EDIT : It's up.
Thanks a lot. The video does show the day/night gradients nicely.
I've experimented with other games, but I haven't really released any others.
You will want to consider adjusting the weather LTX configs to lower the sky brightness, otherwise the skies are easily overblown with any soft of bloom shaders. There is already a weather addon posted recently, use that as a base.
Currently in RC18, I just "rescue" the sky a little bit with FilmicPass (max Bleach, no Fade), sort of a common technique I use to reduce overblown things in any games.
Should be fixed now.
Of all reshade presets I experienced, this one was the coolest. But, could you update it (config or files) for it to work properly with the Anomaly 1.5.1 and Reshade 4.9.1? I tried to use it with this combo, but got constant crashes or error messages.
I'm looking into it right now.
I can't extract your mod from the ZIP file. Gives me an unspecified error on several of the files. Something on my end?
"Windows cannot complete the extraction. The destination file could not be created."
Looks like the ZIP you uploaded is corrupt.
You can also download the pack that includes the BloomingHDR.fx it give a good results
