The stand-alone mod S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Anomaly aims to be the most stable and customizable experience for fans of the S.T.A.L.K.E.R. games. It's powered by the Monolith 64-bit engine, a custom fork of the X-Ray engine.
Description
This is a simple addon that restores (to some extent) Beard from the base game making him another option to sell artifacts to. In Anomaly he merely acts as a basic barman with nothing special. However, I have now changed this to better reflect his role in the zone. He will buy artifacts for better prices and sell basic artifact hunting stuff.

This is a good idea.
I always felt, that the north felt rather empty and pointless.
Bear not using his monopol is Zaton always bugged me. So this should make Zaton more attractive for artifact hunters.
Though I would suggest, that Beard should buy artifacts for a little bit less than the Ecologists, so the player has to decide if he travels to Jupiter for some extra cash.

Thanks, and yes I was considering the price at which he buys. I just made this more so that he had the function rather than worrying about the price he buys at but you got a good point. If I don’t add it here then I will add it to a another add on soon that is going to overhaul some traders further such as restoring outfits, guns, and ammo to Barkeeper as well. Maybe some people like him as just a barkeeper but I always preferred him as both functions.
Good idea. Some trader overhaul is really needed and I also liked barkeep more as a general trader. Though I would not convert him into a second Sidorovich, but perhaps give him a unique selection of items, a mixed bag so to speak.
Would also be great if he would pay more for cooked mutant food.
There should be more ways to earn a profit than just Quests and maybe artifacts. So perhaps balance that out with what fuel and the cooking gear costs? :)

You got another good point... After all the main idea is to make each of the different traders a little more unique so that you have more choice for making money... I'll consider that suggestion.

No It does not require a new game. I tested it and it worked even before the new stock cycle went through (the 24-48 hour restock timer)

Hi, I noticed you added a discount_barkeeper entry in trade_discounts.ltx, but couldn't find reference to it in the other files. Is this necessary for your config to function? I'd rather not have to replace this file if necessary.
Edit: This is probably an artifact of your new version not needing it anymore. Also, no pun intended.
Yes, that is not used in the current version of this add on.
