That's exactly what I was going to ask about lol, it would be amazing to open inventory and have it be instant, but when you hit " Open Backpack " it does the FDAA Backpack animation.
YES it is, especially if you just want to check your health or status bars without triggering the open backpack animation. that would be really amazing

Huge potential. Now if there was a way to resize backpack inventory sizes and have multiple container slots in the inventory, we can have pocket system like in EFT. But I feel like we need better GUI system for that. One that supports stacks of inventory dialogs and ability to move and resize the dialogs. Still this is a good start. Nice job!

Sounds like a great way to remove inventory bloat for older and/or worse CPUs.
I have questions:
Can you unequip the backpack with items are in it?
If above is true, can you drop the backpack? (while the items are still in it)
Alternatively, can you do that "Open Backpack", store the items and create a stash with all the items you stored inside? (don't mind this last one, i believe it would be extremely difficult to implement and at best it would be super jank)

Yes, creating stash i figured it wouldn't work because the actor treasure system is very buggy.
Alternatively there should be something to prevent making a stash with a rucksack that contains items already.

Can I somehow make the weight decrease in the inventory when you put things in an open backpack, like a stash? I have long wanted such a portable stash, even left a request on the forum.
Anyway, when transferring things, the weight is constantly buggy back and forth.
I know that, the game "recalculates" the weight in real time, in the future it may be possible to transfer the script from AREA
How about a cheating portable stash? So that the weight in the inventory decreases when you move items into an open backpack, you get tired of using porter companions, you want to run alone.

Maybe someone or me soon(TM) send update (or try) version with FDDA.
I dont know if its something with x-ray engine itself or the mod but when putting items on the back, the total weight on the player is minus that of the last item placed on the backpack stash. If you test it out with heavy items, you will certainly notice that the player weight is lighter than the supposed weight of the backpack and the player.
Also I noticed that it will delete(or unreference) the items placed on the backpack when the backpack itself is made into a stash.

Seems like this could be really interesting for a chest-rig style mod. Have a "quick" rig inventory that can be used for small things like magazines, grenades, medkits, etc., and then the full backpack for heavier/bulkier items.
