Adds magazines to the game like wuut_magazines, but optimized for compatibility and redone from the ground up.
If you have used the original Anomaly Magazines, this should feel pretty much the same. There are no changes in functionality.

Some new features compared to Anomaly Magazines:
- All the logic has been redone from scratch using time events. Now it's easier to track and do stuff.
- Item boxes are way more informative - you can see if a weapon has a mag loaded, what kind of mag, stuff like that.
- Ready mags are tracked separately and aren't their own item now. This also solves an exploit allowing for infinite magazines.
- Unjamming is simplified. Now it just plays the unjam animation.
- Modular loadouts, combat backpack adds some magazine slots. Support for attachments to add mag slots if needed.
- Brand new icons from Crepis
- Traders sell a fixed amount of mags, replenishing with stock, using new methods of item injection.
- NPC mag drops overhauled. NPCs drop a variable amount of mags that are filled to a random amount.
- Ammo wheel is cooler now.
- Mags show in your HUD!
And the biggest feature:
- Compatibility with weapon packs! The way this addon is set up, you can integrate other mods super easily! BaS, CW, you name it! There's an integration guide written in the addon. Integrate whatever you want!
Obviously this is not compatible with wuut_mags or other magazine mods. However we have incorporated a lot of quality of life tweaks:
- Magazines automatically eject when upgrading or replacing parts
- Mags are highlighted and ready mags are at the top of your inventory
- Traders and NPCs have more realistic magazine loadouts
- Quick release retains vested mags
- New game gives you free magazines.
- Weapons show if they have a magazine loaded or not.
- Arena gives you loaded mags.
Use of MCM strongly recommended to enable tweaking of a lot of features.
Proper RUS translation pending.
Compat patches are available with EFT Reposition. The only conflict is defines.ltx which we tweaked to add the mag eject method.
Optional features:
- Ammo check with MCM support.

Small icon patch is probably broken and will take a while to fix. Test at own risk.

Because it is a repack and not an addon. Or in other words, gazillion addons and custom changes mixed together. Is it fun? Sure. But to make a patch or addon for it is a nightmare I assume.

that pack is cluster of a mess if u check on the debug menu expecially on the weapon sheeesh i rather mod it myself so i know wich is compatible or not rather using that modpack

Rate it 10/10 very nice! I did like mad mags allowed you to put small mags into M and L size pouches though, any chance you might be able to include that as an option? If not, this is still going to be my prefered mag mod

As long as what ammo base game weapons use is not changed then there isn't an incompatibility.
weapons that are added need to have ltx files made and added to our ltx system in order to use magazines.
the BAS patch was made for us by an interested party. TAZ would probably be the same. Maybe as a third party thing, maybe by you. There are instructions on how to do it in the mod.
i've been chugging along on good old wuuts' having manually patched everything and still bearing the odd crash. I almost don't want to try this out. But I will eventually. It just looks too good to be true.

yes, but you'd need to edit each magazine. If i get icon_overide working properly i may make something that does this using that system.

little note, I guess it's better to patch original sleep script instead of disabling sleeping info (cuz you really don't wanna to run time events when actor actualy sleeping) (ask Raven he know what I'm talking about)

So I haven't played with it much yet, but this mod seems really, really good.
EDIT: I noticed a little error. The 7.62x39mm RPK mags fill up to 40 rounds, but when loaded in the rifle they show 45.
EDIT Again? So I don't actually know how I stuffed 5 extra rounds in a mag. If I find out I'll let you know. I did notice that if you use a 40 round mag in a weapon that normally caries 30, it won't let you reload until you're below 30 rounds.
Not able to reproduce RPK issue.
The reloading works by comparing the current rounds in magazine of a given type with other mags in your loadout. If you have more rounds loaded already, it won't switch out your magazine.
In my instance, using the AEK-973, I have only 40 round RPK mags in my loadout, but it won't let me reload until I'm under 30 rounds in the rifle.
Oookay...time to make another modpack, mine is heavily embbed to MadMags...time to work i guess

I just continue playing on my save. I have loaded Abakan. I unload it and game crush after I hover the cursor at magazine.
All 3 PPSHs don't seem to support magazines, when unloading them I just get the bullets back instead of a magazine. All 3 don't accept a filled drum either.
Apart from this issue, the mod is really good.
Noted, we will have a patch for this alongside some other cleanup stuff

You should be fine. BAS added guns will just use bullets. when support is added your BAS guns should magicialy get a magazine containing the rounds you had loaded into the gun.
only issue will be if BAS changes the ammo an existing gun uses. that would cause issues.

This makes Mad Mags obsolete. We incorporated a ton of fixes from there into here.
What about OPO? MadMags had some sort of patch for it, not sure why, that's why asking.
I believe there is no patch required.
What about compatibility patches? Mad Mags had an entire list of patches to use.
our system has far fewer issues. and needs fewer patches.
there is only one file that conflicts. defines.ltx there are some patches for that included. others may be needed.
If this mod has a file conflict with any thing that isn't a mod by RavenAscendnat. it will probably need a patch.
Mods that change what ammo guns use will need patches. They are easy to make.

Correct, I have archived Mad Mags with a reminder to finish your saved games or abandon them and move over here with starting a new game.
Old games with Mad Mags/wuut's Mags removed will not work (not even without AM Redux, hehe).
artifax' rewrite is something I've been waiting for myself, hope to find some time to play it!
