Not compatible at all - it doesn't have a RC21 version.

Oh, no: I use position and view, with Rc 19, so I suppose can't use this mod. Well, I'll try anyway.

It works even with Position and view, probably because I use also a mod that need Position and view that it's intended for RC19.

Now THIS looks like exactly what I'm after........ oh wait....... *sigh*

Man, I really wish that people would stop making all these addons for an internal build of this game that we can't even get ourselves. I mean, I appreciate the effort, but it's pretty disheartening. Either the developers should upload what they've got to moddb, or at least try to hold back on the addon creation when most of us Anomaly lovers can't even get the required build. I've downloaded RC18, but much of my favorite addons don't work with it, so I feel like I'm stuck here. Hell, I just JUST downloaded RC18, and now people are pushing RC21? I've never seen the community get ahead of the developers on anything, but what's worse is that I feel like the majority of Anomaly players are being left behind.

I tried to hold back until the final release is out, but the call... It's too strong.

I get it, but modders (not me, the ones that actually know stuff) can usually deal with these problems, and by working on mods before the final release is out, people are going to have more mods to choose from when 1.5 is out.
Also, some mods might be integrated in the base game release, which most likely means those mods will be even better & more compatible with the devs direct support.

Man, I shouldn't have even wrote any of that ****. I mean, it's free after all and one of my favorite games, so I feel like an ******* now. Yes, it's a little bit of a bummer, but in the grand scheme of things it's not like I'm owed anything. Certainly don't have the authority to tell you to do ****, either, so yeah I'm sorry. Bad day.

might be a little late, but most RC mods work perfectly fine on later versions. they dont work on versions of earlier RC builds tho. with RC21 you should be able to run mods of earlier RC builds

You can get the RC builds in their discord, which is publicly available, and totally optional. Just find a version that works with the mods you enjoy, and stick with that until the final version is released.

Tried the Mosin quickly on RC19 and it seems to work ok.

It seems they removed the bored/idle animations your character does with the weapons after a while, so your will lose those with the weapons I modded, but otherwise you'll get a few modified parameters from the newer RCs. Should not affect your game.

Can you do this also for ak-103 (with 1p29, off course) ak-12, vepr-12, and aek-971?
I think that if the weapons have a grenade launcher it may be difficult to make the mod works, but maybe we can use ak-103 and other without attach a grenade launcher. Would be perfect if it will be possible to use togeter the second aim with a weapon that has a grenade launcher, because, this way, we can attach a 1p29 for the long distance and use the second aim for close distance, without detach the scope, so avoiding the grenade launcher bug.

There's not enought space between the scope and the weapon to do anything useful. I looked at all the weapons in the game and these are the only ones that would work.

I could add something janky like your head would be basically ahead of where the scope is, but that's just not a nice solution.

If the weapon scope model had a little improvised sight on top of the scope, which IMO would fit into the zone (similar to the AUG and L85), I could add to many different weapons. But this takes artistic ability, so... Maybe the devs would do something like that if we talked to them.

Works on RC22, love being able to use some of my scoped weapons in CQC like AUG. Too bad the scoped karabiner is not included, fav early sniper.

I added this to the description. If someone can work with game models, it's easy to add to basically any gun. And I think it would really fit the STALKER universe.

Updated with alt aiming for G3SG1 - missed that. I can't do it for any of the G36s though - they don't have any iron sights, nor would it really be that useful for a sight like that. I think these types of sights are meant to be good up close as well as mid-distance.

Awesome mod, works fine so far and really enhances the game, also the Position and View addon seems to work alongside it without any issue.

Only thing i noticed is that the L85 is in the vanilla hud position again, when re-applying the PoV addon its centered but the backup sights dont work, is there any workaround to correcting the hud-fov position on the gun again?

Thanks in advance

Reply Good karma Bad karma+1 vote

Yeah, they work, but they don't look right. Vanilla weapons at 0.55 hud_fov look small, but I don't think you will get crashes or anything like that.
I think P&V covers all weapons, so using my mod then loading P&V after it doesn't do anything. It's only for vanilla weapon positions. Maybe when P&V 2.0 will be released it will add alternate sights, but I don't know.

Thanks for your answer mate. Im using BaS and P&V atm plus your addon and it works along well, also managed to get the L85 positioned well by using the values from P&V, off course now the backup sight position makes the gun offset to the left from center.
Is there any explanation online on how those value´s are set up? I cant really make much of those numbers sadly, otherwise i´d just alter them myself to get it repositioned :D

Edit: Okay after 2 hours of workin on it i finally managed to set it up correctly, the backup sight isnt perfectly centered but the bullets hit right inside the circle how they should so im gonna leave it at that. Im gonna post the values below for anyone interested in them, they go into \gamedata\configs\items\weapons/l85. Hope y´all have a good day and fun playing^^

hands_position = -0.085, -0.145, 0.0
hands_position_1 = -0.085, -0.145, 0.0
hands_orientation = 0.5,1.0,-0.85
hands_orientation_16x9 = 0.5,1.0,-0.85

aim_hud_offset_pos = -0.0672,0.006,-0.12
aim_hud_offset_pos_16x9 = -0.0672,0.006,-0.12
aim_hud_offset_rot = 0.02, 0.01, -0.0145
aim_hud_offset_rot_16x9 = 0.02, 0.01, -0.0145

aim_hud_offset_alt_pos = -0.0680,-0.011,-0.05
aim_hud_offset_alt_pos_16 = -0.0680,-0.011,-0.05
aim_hud_offset_alt_rot = 0.035,0.014,-0.0145
aim_hud_offset_alt_rot_ = 0.035,0.014,-0.0145

Don't know how you did it (I hope not manually :) ), but you should use HUD editing mode. Start the game in debugging mode (add -dbg to the commandline.txt file in the root game folder), then press F7 in-game. After that press 5 (HUD Adjustment) then press H for help. Personally I just adjust it there, then make a screenshot to edit the files. It can save files, but I don't know how so...

EDIT: Depending on what you change, you can edit the file, then press F7, then press Numpad 0. This will reload game config data (weapons, items, food etc.), although you need to reload the save.

Well **** :D I did actually do it manually, starting/exiting the game over and over again :D But thanks to your tip now i can do some finetuning :D

Edit: Tried it with the HUD editor, doesnt really seem to work unfortunately, everytime i hit apply it crashes the game

You don't need apply, just find your settings and copy them to the file, or maybe take screenshot with settings in case it crashes or you mess up.

If apply writes to files, which I don't know, perhaps the files are set to read-only or maybe in a folder that requires permissions. Don't know. Or maybe something to do with Mod Organizer if you use it.

Not using any Mod Organizer or anything but i figured it out, for some reason it didnt do any changes when altering the numbers, but now it does without any further tinkering, thanks alot man you have been a huge help, this makes it alot easier to tweak weapon positioning

what i mean is that on the G36 the green dot is on top of a telescopic sight (https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&v=9J0psXVo5Uo). it would be nice if we could use the telescopic sight.

Ohhh, I finally see what you mean. Hmm, the lower sight is not transparent in the weapon model. Maybe I will try to make it transparent some time, but I really can't promise anything.

For those who use the Quick Knife addon for BaS, you have to define a different key for using the knife, or this mod won't work.

Therefore open quickdraw.script (found in \gamedata\scripts) and change this line:

if (key == 47)

You need to replace 47 with another number. Mouse5 is "341".

You can find the keycodes here: Github.com

Just use the search function. For exampel look for "Mouse". The rest is self-explanatory.

For the Anomaly 1.5.2 update, just need to go into the w_sks.ltx, w_svt40.ltx, and w_type63.ltx files in this mod and change 'use_aim_bullet = true' to 'use_aim_bullet = false'

Aside from those 3 files, nothing needs to be touched.
