- This addon tweaks the aiming position of most of the weapons in the game. I've tried to replicate the aiming feel from games like insurgency, tarkov, COD etc.
- The weapons with "jpeg sights" were left untouched.
- Not all guns were based on other videogames.
NOTES:
- the addon modifies most of the w_*.ltx files on gamedata\configs\items\weapons
- this mostly changes the hand_position, hand_orientation, and aim_* properties. in some weapons also changes the item_position and item_rotation properties.
- the FOV settings I used while doing this were: FOV: 75 - HUD_FOV: 0.45.

Mod is good, but those files are fooked up, look at original (um-modified) and these, nothing is in order and everything is a mess. But i love the mod tho'
It's weird because I'm just changing zoom_factor,hand_pos, hand_orientation, and aim_hud_* values. I just did a diff check to some files with the originals and the only changes are those values. if you can tell me what are the ones that are more ****** up I can clean them up. thanks
Fal is pretty bad, but pretty much all the guns have issues, Could you make one with no inertia factor as well plz. :3
The AK-74 and its variants have severe misalignment issues. The physical ironsights themselves are off to the left and I've noticed that bullets land slightly right of the front sight post.
I've haven't modified the AK-74 yet. I will leave the Rifles to the end. I will try to fix all the problems you mentioned.
really like the idea of this. it would be useful to have a few qol mods merged like the ogse recoil and inertia fix too
that would be nice. when I finish all the weapons and if the authors of those addons are ok with it I could merge them.

I could work a lot faster if I could use the weapon hud editor. so please someone try to use it and let me know if the game also crashes.
The game crashes if you try and use it in a smaller resolution/different aspect ratio that is not 16:9, such as 4:3
When you do this it loads ui_debug_wpn_hud.xml instead of ui_debug_wpn_hud_16.xml and thats why its crashing. ui_debug_wpn_hud.xml was probably just not updated.
most of the time, the coordinates for aim_hud_offset_pos_16x9 & aim_hud_offset_rot_16x9 work well for aim_hud_offset_pos & aim_hud_offset_rot, so try sticking to a 16:9 aspect ratio and it shouldn't crash.
Otherwise you can use this file that I just edited and tested. works fine for me in a few of the smaller non 16:9 resolutions

Tried to fix it myself and (never really modded myself) managed to get some decent values into the HUD debugger. Issue is, I have no idea how to save the values. The apply option does not work and the save option does not work.... what imma doin´ wrong tovarish?
press the "save to current file" button, then go to gamedata/configs/temp_hud.ltx, that's the file where the changes are saved. Then copy the temp_hud.ltx values to the .ltx file of the weapon you are modifying.

To clarify, eventually this mod will correct all the sights and the scopes that other mods never finished? If so terrific!
TBH, I have not found the recoil to be the painful issue some others do - that's why IRL you're supposed to fire short bursts. Now game (or just some guns?) may take it too far, but its all pers pref. More options always better.
the addon it's complete. all the weapons (except the ones with scopes overlays/open scopes) and their respective 3d rendered sights (kobra,acog,eot.c-more,ect) where tweaked and the sights aligned. at least I think I did them all. if you find some misaligned sights with this addon please let me know.
I never saw a mod with so many bugs, with every patch they take it is still bug and unplayable, you can't even see the weapons in the debug mode

yep, I will definitely do it. but first I want to wait for the new update to see what new weapons the add or if they are using STCOP 3.2+. because STCOP 3.2 already kinda does this so It would be less work.
That update isn't coming out any time soon though. From what little they showed there will be a few new guns like a aks74, but like i said no definitive date for it any time soon according to the devs.

I don't know if you already identified them, but it looks like the OTs-33 Pernach, Tokarev, and 1911 in order.
the mp-5 seems to be sligthly misaligned. The front sight post aims too high and the front sight ring isnt quite centered.
Also the Remington 870 shotgun rear sight ring is off to the left quite a bit.

The reload on Val while using kobra is buggy, at least on modern variant, and I think it's position is weird while ADS. Also it should be compatible with pso1m21, but it isn't
great mod! i've always disliked how somehow your eyes become binoculars when you look down the sight. this mod fixes that and makes it makes ads not look "weird". ive noticed a couple bugs however. the vog25 launcher still zooms in with the "without zoom" option. the kar98 also doesnt use the iron sights properly (its way over to the right for some reason) but apart from those, works great and is compatible with any mod that doesnt change the weapon ltx files. can i request you do a version with the mod "universal inertia" merged with it? i find the differing sensitivity values for each weapon quite annoying. i'd do this myself but have no idea what i'm doing so i'd rather not mess everything up :P thanks again for the mod!
Alright nice idea, but i do Shooting as a sport and you dont hold a weapon like this, So from a gameplay perspective definitly an upgrade but for immersion i cant recommend this mod
