A patch I made for the outdated AA2 HUD post by Cherno that makes it work for 1.5.1 and changes a few things. Requires the original AA2 HUD mod.
Features/changes:
- Added psy health bar (golden color) (the reason why the main mod crashes).
- Fixed artifact belt UI element position (right next to health bars).
- Fixed broken PDA notification icon and changed its position (top right of minimap).
- Moved static booster and protection indicators (bandages, healing, etc.) to bottom-right of minimap.
- Moved static state indicators (starvation, radiation, etc.) to the right side, above ammo.
- Removed actor_status state/booster indicators (the little icons that move around instead of being static). The sleep and thirst deprivation icons indicators are an exception. They don't have a static counterpart (these ones are moved above the static booster/protection indicators).
- Moved danger indicators (heat, acid, radiation, psy) to the left and up more.
- Added 4:3 aspect ratio support.
- Some other things I probably forgot.
Installation:
1) Install original AA2 HUD mod. (link)
2) Install this patch on top by drag-dropping the gamedata folder into the Anomaly root folder, overwriting everything.
OPTIONAL: Delete ui_slot_hud.xml (gamedata/configs/ui) from the original mod. It's not being used anymore.
Notes:
- Fixes for optional modules (ammo counter on/off, minimap on/off, etc.) have not been included. I'll work on them if I have the time.
- The PDA notification icon is blocked by the minimap in 4:3 resolutions. Unfortunately, the xml file that handles the icon position is all-in-one (no separate files for 4:3 and 16:9 ratios), so I can't really fix that. I'll probably add an option to remove the icon altogether.
Credits go to Cherno for the original AA2 HUD port.
Just a question, how you managed to get your textures so low? Im struggling with FPS as I play on an not so good laptop, other than that, thanks to your contribution, AA2 gives me nostalgia about those good days playing Call of Chernobyl
You're welcome. As for the textures, I have Classic Textures installed and had the texture quality way down. It also fixes the horrendous 2K tree texture that tanks your FPS no matter the texture setting since I don't think it has mipmaps.
