Version 2.2 fixes the Walker's death animation for real, improves ACS music changing, prevents Unholy Massacre from showing in LZDoom, removes some unnecessary lumps, and probably does some other things I can't remember.
In October of 2018, Spram released a mod called Metroid Doom. The original Metroid Doom wasn't perfect, so about a week ago, I had the idea to polish it up. After some work, here it is: Metroid Doom, version 2.2.
VERSION 2.2 CHANGELOG:
- Fixed Walker death animation, for real this time
- ACS music change script is no longer repeated several times in SCRIPTS of MAP01, it now lives in AUTOLOAD
- Unholy Massacre will not display as a selectable difficulty in new/old versions of LZDoom.
- PC speaker sound files have been removed
- Secrety secrets. One may be more apparent than the other.
- Various small improvements, probably
I decided to release version 2.2 as a middle-ground between 2.1 and 3. It was mostly bug-fixes, anyway, so there's no point in holding it off.
The mod still requires GZDoom 3.4.1 or an equivalent version of LZDoom. 3.87c, 3.88a, and 4.5 beta have all been tested and proven to work.
Is version 3 being worked on?
