Spear is a Single Player Score-Driven 'horde' shooter experience. -Highly challenging experience on highest difficulty setting. -Adrenaline filled gameplay - Defend, attack, survive. -Random gameplay experience - No mission playthrough is the same. -Highly tested mod - balance and tweaking is a vision focus for this mod. -High replayability. -Play as 3 different classes with their own strengths and focus. -2 New additions to the enemy arsenal - The Dragonfly Drone and Riot CC mine. -Random Weather Effect on every mission. (Rain/Night/Dusk/Noon) -All done using CE3's Flowgraph (node-scripting) system.
Spear is a challenging Score-driven Single Player 'horde' mod I have been working alone on for quite some time. Anyone with Crysis 2 PC can download/install this right here right now and free.
You play as one of the 3 Classes in the middle of a faction clash. The Cell wants your suit so they can infiltrate the Spear corporation main servers via one of the terminals in the area, and the Ceph will pursue only one goal - killing anything on their way, the Ceph arsenal includes Hackers, which plays a big role in this mod.
A lot of events will determinate when the game round was won. These includes:
You must earn 10000 score before the enemy supply is exhausted. You will then eliminate remaining hostiles in the area before the mission is officially completed.
Let the hackers win 1 round and they will spawn a Ceph Gunship (part of the 'Strike' challenge)
Let the Hackers win 2 rounds and the mission is over - a massive EMP shockwave only affecting the player suit is released.
Every Spear map has 6 Terminals. Each of which can be interacted with in a random order. A blue flashing light will notify the player a terminal can be approached and retrieved. Retrieving a terminal will not only give you a small score, but also reset your loadout. Ammo is infinite and loadouts ALWAYS random. There's a rare (super) weapon available every missions.
Ceph Hackers will target a random terminal, you will be notified with a blue marker on where the intrusion will take place. Here are the 3 score conditions with hackers:
Killing hackers after they successfully hack a terminal rewards no score.
There are 3 types of challenges you will be assigned to randomly every playthrough. Completing these challenges will add important score and reward you with an unique accolade fitting the challenge given. Complete both challenges and get rewarded with the prestige accolade, worth 20% mission completion alone.

OFFENSE - STRIKE: DESTROY THE CEPH GUNSHIP
Let the hackers win once, the Gunship will spawn. Once the gunship has spawned , you will be able to retrieve a rocket JAW from one of the available terminals (unless you're playing as Vanguard). If all the terminals are taken, I have bad news for you. In other good news, the Gauss Rifle is the only non-explosive weapon that will work against the Ceph Gunship!
OFFENSE - HELIX: DESTROY DRAGONFLY DRONES
Destroy 3 Dragonfly drones. Cell Specialists will spawn regularly and try to be a nuisance with these proximity flashbang drones. You can remain in mid-long proximity of them and perform spawn killing on these bad boys (strategy!), or just scout the map for them, less recommendable however.
DATA - UPLINK: ACTIVATE ALL TERMINALS
There are 6 terminals per map. Look for blue lights and Activate all of them. This challenge will complete, when applicable.
DATA - TENACITY: NO TERMINALS BEFORE 30%
Referring to mission completion percentage, do not activate a single terminal before 3 progression icons are visible (top left screen) or this challenge will silent-fail.
DEFENSE - HARDPOINT: HARDPOINT DEFENSES
2 Hacker deaths less than 6 meters away from their targeted terminals. Will not fail nor reset if the hackers infiltrates a terminal, and may be harder than it seems to accomplish.
DEFENSE - GUARDIAN: NO ALERTS BEFORE 30%
Referring to mission completion percentage, a single red light (hacker intrusion) from a terminal before 3 progress icons are highlighted and this challenge will silent-fail. Hard, but rewarding challenge.
More challenges and maps. I'm open to suggestion. Considering Crysis 3 has no SDK, if Crytek is okay with porting Crysis 3 (AI/WEAPONS/SOUNDS/MODELS) content to Crysis 2, that would be awesome, too.

-Sometimes, K-Volt particle effect will remain permanently (Retail bug)
-Ceph grunts and stalkers can melee you after they are dead (Retail bug)
-Sometimes, the Ceph gunship will ignore the player.
