Recreating the newschool Doom experience in the old quake engine. Basicly a moddable demake with strafejumping.
ST Eternal beta Patch 4 ======================== - added Doom Eternal Ballista model + sounds - added ballista arbalest mod in eternal maps(/or with forced eternal weaponset) - in DE maps chainsaw now regenerates to 1 ammo after 10 seconds - updated equipment to use equipment launcher in DE maps (can launch grenades without interrupting shooting, different projectile origin) - added cultist express (st2m2.bsp), a culist train inspired map for SP/DM, can be accessed from the custom map area in the hub, or typing "map st2m2" in console without quotes - added extra mapper features, nonsolid and trigger func_trains (SOLID_TRIGGER can turn them into moving hurt volumes), nonsolid doors, and DE monkeybar trigger - (shades) added shadowwood.bsp, heretice1m1.bsp and heretice1m2.bsp - added visual fx feature - light coronas for dynamic lights (faked using alpha), can be turned off with st_toggle_coronas - updated HAR fire rate to match DE - increased Chaingun ROF during windup
- i recommend vkquake for the client: Github.com
- use 7zip to extract 7-zip.org
- put the stuff in a SlayerTest dir next to id1
- "game SlayerTest" in the console, and you are ready to go
- F2 for ingame options, bit clunky to set up the binds at the moment

Fixed that error, can change game to Slayer'sTest but it does not appear to be working

You could use fte, qs, vkq, but I recommend quakespasm-spiked since this is the engine the mod authors are targeting, include that engine in the "official" discord archive, and you won't have any of the csqc features on qs/vkq.
Absolutely ingenious!
Improvement suggestions for the next patch:
- Hide weapon/crosshair/statusbar on level stats screen (after exiting a map)
- Make keycards and skulls rotate
- Correct any occurrence of the word "accessable" with "accessible" (in messages)
Otherwise, a very entertaining Doom Eternal conversion to Quake. Love the gibs flying!

Hi. Loaded your save with Quakespasm-Spiked 0.93 and while swiching weapons, game crashed to desktop with the SV_Modelindex: models/weapons/centered/csg_et.mdl not precached error. Other than that - fantastic work!

There is no "id1" file in any of the folders. I've put all the files from the vquake folder into the slayertestament folder, but when I double click on the vquake shortcut, I get this message:
W_LoadWadFile: couldn't load gfx.wad
Basedir is:
C:Users\-----\Documents\SlayerTest_applied_patch4
Check that this has an id1 subdirectorycontaining pak0.pak and pak1.pak, or use the -basedir command-line option to specify another durectory.
I have no idea what any of that means. Could someone please help..?
the ID1 folder is in the game directory...what it means is that you have to possess your copy of the game to play an addon for the game

Hello guys, i love DOOM 2016 and i'm really happy to play this mod, but for some ****** reason every time a lost soul spawns the game crashes an go to the console screen saying "Bad builting call number 335" and Host_Error:Program error"
And it's unplayable when you get to the "hell" ingame, it's easylly possible to trick the game in the first inconter of lost souls but after this, it's a nightmare. Someone know how to fix this?

Not that Im aware of. Be sure to nab the more recent update tho, instead.

Simple.
1. Sell your phone
2. Buy PC
3. Done
Same way as any other mod. Extract the archive to your root Quake directory
Select Quakespasm Spiked and choose slayertest from the menu.
Utilize the console and on screen keyboard to bind the functions to your custom binds.
How to get The Eternal weapon sets?
Play a map with them in it! Also i recommend u download the TAG4 relewse, not this one, as thats more recent.
