Situation Outbreak is an Orange Box mod about the impending zombie apocalypse. Armed with nothing but a 9mm and a pair of brass knuckles, you must do whatever it takes to survive against the thousands of zombies that used to be your friends and neighbors. The cost of failure is nothing less than your free will. There are no heroes. No single person can save the world and there are not enough bullets to go around. The only thing left to do is to kill the damned, hoping that you don’t end up like them.

why not create a system for infection ?
In Infection, there can be more than one zombie at any given time, so you can only imagine the lag if they all were able to spawn and command zombie NPCs. That's why a new gamemode was created, as with this gamemode, only the first randomly chosen zombie is able to command zombie NPCs. Also, in Overlord, there is no "infection". Instead, the overlord has the ability to kill survivors for points, which they can then use to spawn more zombie NPCs.
Sorry this wasn't mentioned in the video. My bad. Nice question, though.

This gamemode reminds me of the game posession. If you don't know what it is then look it up.
I like it. However my only niggle is the guy abusing the 25 pts per 5 seconds and just staying put then sending dozens after a few guys/girls.
Plus you gonna change them hands? they look horrid tbh.
Hands will be differnt in the future, although 1.5 might be released with these for the time being.
I like the idea of this game mode.
However there was one thing I thought of while watching it:
The fact that you said you can spawn as many zombies you want is a really really bad idea a griefer can easily crash a server by sitting in one spot and creating hundreds of zombies.
This is false. There are measures in place that prevent the spamming of zombies, don't worry. For instance, one zombie can only be spawned every two seconds. We've implemented other smaller restrictions as well, but that is the big one. Sorry I didn't mention that in the video.
So whats up, how many players will be able to be a zombie overlord? just 1? because I'd like to see more than 1 player commanding zombies against humans
Just one, or else the system doesn't work because zombies will follow whoever last gave a command with the zombie claws. However, when the one overlord dies, he is quickly replaced by another random player in order to keep things interesting.
This is kinda like zombie master but i think its a lot more cooler well, the gamemode i mean.
can the overlord be killed if seen by survivors

I still like infection the most D:, Probably because i play zombie panic alot :)
A creative gamemode that I can't find anywhere else, now im interested. Good work looks fun and unique.
