How To Install Sins of the Fallen
Important: RESTART Sins of a Solar Empire after activating the mod. This will avoid a common mini-dump after starting a game. If the game mini-dumps attempting to deactivate the mod (i.e. similar issue), then delete the EnabledMods.txt in your rebellion mod folder.
How to Activate Sins of the Fallen
Plague
The rebellious fight amongst the TEC, Advent, Vasari, Hypercorp and Rogue have caused the Plague to mutate in vile ways.
Research:
- Acid Weapon Upgrades -
- Genetic manipulation allows for acid sacks on frigates to mature allowing decreased cooldown between expulsions.
- Bio Plasma Weapon Upgrades -
- Genetic manipulation allows for plasma organs on frigates to mature allowing decreased cooldown between expulsions
- Loss of Will - Your minions move to the planets under their culture's influence to spread their taint, increasing the change in allegiance.
- Pestilence - The Plague increase the scope of their disease transmissions, increasing the rate at which their culture spreads.
- Mobile Rulership - Your masters relocate to your Titan, preventing you from being defeated so long as your Titan or Capital planet remain intact.
- Reanimation - Allows the infestation to create a temporary reanimation of destroyed enemy frigates, cruisers, or corvettes where they were defeated.
Plague Titan Factory
Moloch class Titan
Abilities
- Animate Corpse - Resurrects your newly dead ships for a short time. Animated corpses have an extremely short life span but will fight aggressively while alive.
- Hunger - Consumes a nearby frigate to heal a portion of the Titan's hull and shields.
- Bloodlust|Increases the damage output of your titan as ships die nearby.
- Blood Omen|Infects nearby enemy vessels with the plague, instantly converting them to your side.
Defiler Class Corvette
Abilities
- Defile Defense - The Defiler's weapons have a chance to pollute the enemy's defensive systems, causing greater physical weapon damage.
Change Log of Noteable Things:
- Adds Plague Titan, Corvette and Research Updates
- Destroyed moons no longer spawn destroyed moon mesh (Needed until a fix is found for spiralling dead moon continuing it's long journey across the solar system after it's destroyed)
- Fixed issue with mod deactivation mini-dumping by removing custom Main Menu Titan (Cosmetic) entity files. Adding new cosmetic entities for display in the main menu caused mini-dumps when deactivating the mod.
- Adds compatibility with FoK 1.52.23.
- Various other minor fixes.

like I asked before, does the bloodlust ability count for enemy ships dying or friendly? or both?

Also not sure if it's just me but is the tec militia missing? haven't downloaded this version yet but it's not in the previous
TEC militia are the default when an optional militia override isn't set.
this mod does not work. And to make it worse there were no instructions in the download to install nor on this site page. please make sure you include this next time you update
This mod does indeed work. All I can say is you didn't spend much time looking on this site for the installation instructions: FAQ on main page, the little read more + above, the feature section, the pdf in the SotF Core folder, linked on both sins forum sites. Unfortunately I can't force people to read this content and the chance you will guess the activation order without bothering to read the instructions is pretty minimal.
Yup, this mod works just fine. Saying stuff that are just outright wrong just makes you look like a moron.

No problem... There was some symbols in the automated translation that will be cleaned out in the next release. Alternatively you could open the str file and search/replace them out in the meantime. The core/vanilla parts should be good though :P
Great work as always, for sure the best Rebellion mod I've played. Nice balance, everything has a counter, nice models, textures. Mmm tasty.

tho i am rather curious tho.. Has the "Destroyed Moon" deciding to take a Stroll literally Light years away from the planet been fixed? no ships can catch up to it to "capture" it to scuttle
Yeah... it's a bit like Asteroid if you know what that old game is. I have a backup plan to implement- but the next release will simply destroy the moons to avoid the current issue :(

Fantastic work. I love this MOD and play it often. However I can't get this version to work. I have an old version (1.1.13) which works, but after I enable the mods from this version and click apply the loading screen comes up and then it just sits there and I have to go into Task Manager to end it.
Don't know if I'm missing something and all I can do is try and download it again.
I'm running on Windows 8 if that makes a difference.
Again, love the work. Keep it up.

This version will only work with 1.52 or 1.79 of Rebellion. You'll need to update your game in Steam. If your holding off because of other mods make a complete copy of you Steam Rebellion installation then you can play both 1.1 and 1.52.

I cant seem to activate the mod.
I have updated to 1.79
but the game show no mod number when i activate it
and i seems to have problem with sin of solar empire because it keep resetting my resolution.
