Will you give curved swords to some of the elves as you've already equipped some of them with the movie helmets and shields? That would help to create a more authentic transition between the armors, as they were described by Tolkien in the novel, and the Noldor armors being worn by the elves of the Last Alliance in the opening sequence of "The fellowship of the Ring".

We don't have plans to. Tolkien's elven swords are described as straight swords, and we're going with it. Orcs, on the other hand, will have scimitars and curved swords, as is stated in the lore.

Elves are supposed to have straight swords.

The movie Elves, being essentially the Elven stereotype as established by D&D and sub-par fantasy novels follow other conventions.

The only elf with a curved swords is Egalmoth (Lord of the Heavenly Arch -Realm of Gondolin-), and in the mod he's the only one too, as Tolkien wrote.

Description

The mighty Fëanor himself, with his bodyguard and his House.

Fëanor was a prince of the Noldor, eldest and most beloved son of Finwë. He had the greatest skill of word and hand, a renowned craftsman, gem-smith, and warrior. His most famous deed was the creation of the Silmarils, but he also created the palantíri, and may also have wrought the Fëanorian lamps. In addition, he invented the widely-used Tengwar script. His passionate hatred of Morgoth and terrible oath led directly to the great triumphs and tragedies of the First Age.
