Current version of the mod: 0.8 - Initial Release
From a team of two mad individuals comes a brand new mod called Deathmatch Pro, which greatly improves Serious Sam 2's deathmatch gameplay, by adding new gameplay modes and elements, maps, weapons and fixing lots of annoyances, among other things. The mod's goal is to restore SS2's deathmatch back into its former glory, and make it even better and most of all, fun. Rocket your enemies' worlds, practise the art of skull crushing with new ZappaGun v.2.0, run up to them and shout madly while setting off a mighty Kazi Bomb, and bring down a rain of fire from atop a christmas tree.
Main features of the mod;
-New gameplay modes (TDM and more planned, currently featuring Instagib)
-10 new unique maps to play around with! The new maps include remakes of popular community maps, SP to DM conversions and never-seen before releases plus custom gameplay maps.
-New, modified weapons and balance & gameplay improvements and additions
-New server settings and options (such as enable third person view, editable map cycle, respawn delay and cheat protections).
-Integrated Dedicated Server support
-A custom soundtrack with over 14 entirely new tracks!
-Twisted humour featuring over 200 new death messages and lots of secrets
-Compatible with all existing Serious Sam 2 deathmatch maps (including singleplayer!)
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS: Extract all the files inside the .rar file to your main Serious Sam 2 directory (e.g C:/Program Files/Serious Sam 2), and use the "Mod Launcher.exe" file from the Content/DeathmatchPro Launcher folder to launch the mod. Creating a desktop shortcut to the mod launcher is recommended. Be sure to take a look at the readme and the player guide before playing ;)
Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0 is required to use the mod launcher. To open the .rar file, you'll need a program like WinRAR or UltimateZip which can open .rar archives.

I'm sorry to say, but further development of the mod has been canceled due to a lack of coders since TwL (Serious Yam) gave up the job.
While I'd really love to work on the mod even by myself, I don't have any coding experience or the SDK. Unless someone steps up and helps me out by becoming the new lead coder (which would be greatly appreciated!), the mod's going to be stuck at 0.8.
It was a fun ride though, especially for me, and I enjoyed everything we managed to create. The updates we had planned would've probably featured bots - which I would've loved to see in action for sure, but you can't have everything I guess, as well as new maps, weapons, player models and gameplay modes. The mod's quite final as it is though, the later updates would've just added the finishing touches to it. Who knows, maybe someday it'll even be possible.
Big thanks to everyone for the support regardless - we're glad the mod made it this far despite all the complications. There may still be some new maps for the mod in the future, so stay tuned.
