SENGOKU - TOTAL WAR v0.2 - README
FINALLY! Finally I have a release of v0.2 finished. There's been a number of updates since v1.0, most notably:
- new unit models (with upgrade variants)
- plenty of other visual updates
- updated campagn map
- campaign map sounds
Still a lot of things are a work in progress. You can expect to see a number of placeholders and concepts that haven't been fully implemented (or even tested) yet, but other than that it should be fully playable and (like v0.1) hopefully somewhat enjoyable.
POLICY ON MODDING:
Apart from the mods that I've listed below everything may be used for whatever purpose as long as appropriate credits are given and as long as permission is granted to others to mod your content even further. M2TW is an old game and I'm of the opinion that we need to stimulate any modding effort for the sake of the M2TW community as a whole. For alterations that deal with the mods listed below I'd advise you to check out their policy on modding.

I am first to download
Hi thank you for this great mod but i have one problem with installation i get this warning:
(This file is too long for your destination folder, you can shorten the file name and try again, or you can try a location with a shorter path)
about the file in the map from the two directories of MTW2_Pike and MTW2_Slinger
You're welcome! Ah yes, those can be annoying. The solution would be to keep the file path of eveything as short as possible.
For example, prevent things like: C:\Program Files (x86)\Games\Games_I_like\Games_I_really_like\My_Favorite_games\Best_of_the_best\Medieval II Total War.
Instead of that install M2TW in this location: C:\Medieval II Total War.
Long file paths are also known to cause problems and crashes in other mods. Not much you can do other than adhering to this and keep the file path as short as possible.
Hi Thijs,
Dank je voor je reactie,
Ik zal het even in nederlands doen ;) is even makkelijker
For non-Dutch speakers:
If you have trouble copying the mod into your mod folder because a file path is too long for the animation files, you can do the following:
Remove the files in Sengoku\data\animations except for:
- pack.dat
- pack.idx
- skeletons.dat
- skeletons.idx
- entire folder 'engine'
Hoi Thijs,
