Rise of the Reds – or ROTR for short – improves upon the C&C Generals formula while also adding its own distinct elements to it. Most notably, the mod adds two completely new factions, the tank-heavy Russian Federation and the defence-oriented European Continental Alliance. In addition, the three original factions China, USA and GLA have been greatly expanded and redesigned in a variety of ways, with several new units, buildings, powers and abilities to explore and combine in your in-game tactics.
The Russian Supply Wartruck now requires Assault Armaments to get its iconic gun. The new 30 mm auto-cannon does more damage and has the addition of smoke grenades to make up for the lack of it as standard.
Hehe! Hope it can kill a few attack bikes or recon drones and not just for show :)
In Soviet Russia, trucks raid you!
Even peaceful supply truck became so agressive.
You DO know the joke about the "peaceful soviet tractor", right? :D
"We are armed!"
btw, its cannon looks just like the one installed on BTR-82 and BTR-80's last modification. Was it a source of inspiration?
It probably is 30mm 2A72.
Building Soviet economy!
"Protect the Ore!" ^_^
"Da, comrade General"
We make Russia strong!
Love the Red Alert quotes
(buried)
Looks like something peaceful pro-Russia peasants would buy in a Ukrainian city. hue
I know it's nitpicking and it honestly isn't that big of a deal to me, but if this Supply Truck is gonna have smoke grenades, shouldn't it have some smoke launchers as well? I really love the attention to detail you guys have and would enjoy seeing that continue!
It has, actually. It's a little hard to see in the render, but there are two sets, each consisting of three smoke projectors, attached to the round rotating base of the turret.
Now that you mention it, I can see them clearly. You guys got your bases covered, right on! Keep up the good work, my friend.
[MOTHER RUSSIA STRONK INTENSIFIES]
Hmm, maybe they shouldnt be unarmed but have an mg until gets upgraded to autocannons.
As far i can remember russia faction always had armed gatherer unit and the sudden change can be bothersome for the longtime russia player.
They did make dealing with surprise infantry attacks a bit less painful :O
Which come to think of it, its early in the game when the MGs are most useful.
Unless the 30mm is going to dish out good umph, then this is gonna hurt.
Most probably it's like BMP's autocannon.
Wrong its a lot better than that :P
