Rise of the Reds – or ROTR for short – improves upon the C&C Generals formula while also adding its own distinct elements to it. Most notably, the mod adds two completely new factions, the tank-heavy Russian Federation and the defence-oriented European Continental Alliance. In addition, the three original factions China, USA and GLA have been greatly expanded and redesigned in a variety of ways, with several new units, buildings, powers and abilities to explore and combine in your in-game tactics.

Reminds me of Judas Priest song "Electric eye".

"I'm elected electric spy,
I'm protected electric eye".

"Recon Drones are equipped with a targeting laser that can relay information to distant strike bombers and artillery crews" what does this mean?

Bombers and artillery can shoot at the spotted target from a longer range perhaps?

You know, through the entirety of my time playing Generals, I've never really gotten to know exactly what that Avenger laser tangibly did. =|

Try an Elite ranked Ranger and then use the Avenger to target something... It makes it seem like your Ranger is using an M249 his rate of fire is so wild.

Hmm, how about different approach for handling detected mines, like having activated ability for emitting an microwave(or was it sonic, anyways insert correct technical term here)-pulse at ground level that serves as an self-aoe way to blow up multiple mines at once. Ofcourse the unit's armor has to be configured such that it can resist the mine blasts somewhat.
I thought given how so many mines there can be in an base, it may take very long for it to cleanse an whole field of them and thus not many people are going to bother use that aspect of the unit probably, given you can always plow through with some spare fast movers to speed up the process considerably.

Before, the Microwave tank used to be able to annihilate mines whenever it got within its radius.

Description

The 'Oracle' Forward Reconnaissance Drone is a recent addition to the United States arsenal. Introduced just before the Russo-European War, the Recon Drone for short is the result of the United States Marine Corps requiring a fast, easily-deployable eye on the ground for special operations teams. Airborne drones have the disadvantage of being easy prey for anti-aircraft fire, and Recon Drones can be deployed en masse to frontlines to provide crystal-clear reconnaissance for ground teams. Furthermore, Recon Drones are equipped with a targeting laser that can relay information to distant strike bombers and artillery crews. Its sensors can also detect mines hidden in the soil, and a robotic arm can extend and disable them.

The new Recon Drone is built from the US Command Center at tier 0, and is their new scout. The Predator Scout Drone meanwhile has been upped to tier 2 and can now detect stealth from the start.
