Rise of the Reds – or ROTR for short – improves upon the C&C Generals formula while also adding its own distinct elements to it. Most notably, the mod adds two completely new factions, the tank-heavy Russian Federation and the defence-oriented European Continental Alliance. In addition, the three original factions China, USA and GLA have been greatly expanded and redesigned in a variety of ways, with several new units, buildings, powers and abilities to explore and combine in your in-game tactics.

No, and it is not as powerful as the tremor. Though it supposedly does have a longer range than the TOPOL M...

Nope. The Tremies will not be replace, as far as I heard this silo's can crack ECA's defenses like hot knife through butter, and I won't hesitate to use it on my brother's base when 1.85 is release. Keep safe guys ans keep up the good work making this mod the original Gen2.

Every faction has 'dirty' weapons. Just look at all those Chinese nukes and incendiaries, GLA toxins, American microwaves and lasers that burn people alive and all the anti-personnel mines, cluster bombs and neutron warheads used by the ECA.

Its worth mentioning that Russia has probably the most humane superweapon out of all the factions (though it was also considered inhumane due to the operators being poorly trained shmucks who probably only know how to push the big red button and care not for anything else...). The Tremor is basically a huge artillery gun which fires boring conventional HE warheads. Everyone else's either burns you alive (USA, ECA) or poisons you (China, GLA).

Let's not forget that Russia's nuclear weapons are in the hands of the most sympathetic and reasonable general who knows when and when not to use them. Again, everyone else either uses nukes liberally (China obviously) or treats it as just another weapon system (ECA Pandora protocol), not caring for possible consequences at all.

I wouldn't say that the ECA treats its nukes as 'just another weapon system'; they've detonated enhanced radiation warheads on their own soil and both the Fall of Man update as well as the VOs of the Pandora operator make it quite clear that they crossed this line out of sheer desperation. If it hadn't been for WW3 (or more specifically, if it hadn't been for a lunatic like Aleks running WW3), the Pandora as a weapon would have never existed.

You are right about the Tremor being the least 'superficially nasty' out of all the superweapons, although the explosion of a massive conventional HE shell still makes an absolute mess out of everyone unfortunate enough to be too close. Best case scenario, the blast turns your entire body into mush before your nerves can sense it. Worst case, you get your limbs torn off, your organs liquefied by the sheer power of the blast or end up slowly crushed/suffocated under a pile of rubble.

Imagine what would game-play be like if RoR dudes decide to properly simulate Nuclear detonation. And, I am not referring to blast yield size(that one is problematic to be simulated realistically and would be OP from the start), but to all effects of a nuclear detonation, like air-shockwave, heat wave, radiation and EMP. China would be the first faction to become OP, ECA following in the close second place.

That mod is Destructive Forces, too bad its old, unfinished and abandoned, i loved to wipe out the entire map, and if there was a Nuke general on the battle(which has the Armageddon Nuke), everyone would be able to build a bunker that could withstand a detonation of the Armageddon, that was a pretty nice idea, i wish that mod hadn't died =(

Description

Over the years, Russia developed a number of new ballistic missile systems, including the 'Don' which was designed for tactical use on the battlefield. Thanks to its on-board jamming systems, the new missile cannot be intercepted by any means and carries up to five low-yield atomic bombs, essentially designed as a way to deliver an accurate nuclear artillery barrage to shatter enemy formations and defensive lines. Ever since President Suvorov had issued the clearance to deploy these weapons to General Leonid Zhukov, several Don missiles were installed at Russian Army bases in the occupied territories of Europe. Zhukov reasoned that a ballistic missile launch that was detected closer to the frontline would not be as easily misinterpreted as a strategic launch from the larger silo compounds in the Russian homeland. He knew that such an error might easily bring about the end of the world, which is why he reserved his missiles for only a select few high-priority military targets in support of his ground assaults and defied orders from General Aleksandr who urged him to launch them against European population centres in a last fanatical effort to shatter their opponents' morale. Despite protests from Aleksandr, President Suvorov never reprimanded Father Leonid for his disobedience, which the old, respected General regarded as an unspoken statement of approval.
