Report RSS Supporting my work

I've had many people ask for ways to support my work so here is some info for those who would like to contribute.

Hello all,

Over the years I have had many people ask if they could support my modding work monetarily. I've had people request commissioned work, Patreon/Paypal info and more. I have always taken the stance that accepting money for mod work is ethically questionable since by the very nature of modding, I am building off of somebody else's work, not making my own from scratch. After all, no matter what game I'm modding and no matter how much work I am indeed doing myself, it's not my original game engine, source code and so on. In addition, since Rise of the Mandalorians is built all around the Star Wars franchise, copyright becomes an issue as well. The last thing I would want is for the mod to get shut down (or worse) because I was found to have violated copyright and made money from it!

That said, I have put considerable thought into other ways that people who are interested can support me. I don't believe in accepting something for nothing so just blanket donations were not a thing I was comfortable doing. Therefore, I have decided to open a personal storefront on TurboSquid, a marketplace for 3D artists to buy and sell original works.

Any of the work I have done for my mods which is not specifically Star Wars related will be featured there for people to purchase. I'm not talking mod files...I'm talking source files. The original 3D Maya scenes and layered Photoshop 4k textures. Over time, additional work will also appear there which cannot be found anywhere else. I will also upload commissioned pieces here for anyone to purchase, so if you have a commission request, PM me and we can talk details!

You can find my TurboSquid selection here:

Turbosquid.com

For now, the store is somewhat small. I'm still adding items and working to get them all "Checkmate" certified (in other words, clean topology and meeting an outlined professional standard). You can expect to see it grow over the coming months so check back regularly for new items and commissions to purchase!

If you have no use for 3D models or you can't afford to support monetarily, I completely understand! Just remember to vote for Rise of the Mandalorians in this year's Mod of the Year contest! Seeing RotM in the spotlight come December would be a huge support in it's own way. Regardless of what you choose to do, I thank you all for YEARS of continued support and friendship. I truly appreciate you all!

Stay tuned for Galactic Conquest updates in the future....

Sweet, I've always thought modders selling assets was the best way for them to seek monetary compensation for their time and effort and I'm glad to see you doing it

They haven't gone out yet. The idea was to send them out after Galactic Conquest was completed as well. If you'd rather have the Skirmish Beta by itself though, that's ok. Just let me know on Discord or PM.
