It looks like the guns from the Lucrehulk, but with only two barrels instead of four.

That is actually a really accurate statement. I wonder if the BF2 concept artists were inspired by that?

I mean every thing that is in game had to be approved by lucasflim..... and the Rebels were the spiritual successor to the CIS in a way

Yep and the Rebs, in Disney canon, are heavily reliant on old CIS tech anyway. Especially before the Mon Calimari join the fight. In fact, they used several Lukrehulks in their fleet so its very possible that these turbolasers are actually repurposed CIS tech anyway.

Late reply but in legends they used CIS tech, Rebel one and converted banking clan frigates and that Lurcahulk the fortessa ?

In Disney Canon? I follow NuCanon closely and I don't get that impression. Or at least if they were they, they'd be at the same degree as with the old timeline.

SW Commander mobile app is canon. Almost all Rebel units are old Republic or CIS tech. Vader comics also speak to this but in fleet terms. Lukrehulks, Munificents, etc.

Unless you mean in terms of politics...in which case, you're correct, they weren't. The Rebels wanted to restore the Republic. The CIS hated the Republic but were ultimately betrayed and destroyed by Palpatine...ergo the Empire.

Its a way better game now than it was at launch. Not perfect but much better.

However, BF2015 was better overall. Unpopular opinion...

Compared to the sequal yeah in terms of balance; but it doesn't have Clone Wars era battles: personally I avoid the Sequal stuff because I don't consider the sequal trilogy canon, ship designs, planets, creatures, and some characters from them are considered canon by me I operate on my own headcanon

I think most of us dont consider the sequels canon...not unless they pull a miracle out of their *** for ep9...

To be honest though, i could care less about Clone Wars content. I appreciate that many people like it and i dont hate it, i just dont enjoy it as much as OT. But gameplay wise, bf2015 was just so much more polished. Remove jetpacks, add a few more heroes and maps... bam, solid 10/10 game imo.

I downvote Bf2 because its buggy, because walker assault > galactic assault, has way worse map design, and i cant stand the cross era weapons and heroes (and the total lack of new weapons). Starfighter assault is a fantastic addition though. Criterion did a great job with starfighters overall.

The cross-era weapons and heroes bother the **** out of me and some of the map design could use some work. I actually really like Galactic Assault-- multistage, objective-based multiplayer is something I've thought about for a while but never really seen properly utilized til now, though instead of replacing Walker Assault I'd have the two game modes in the same rotation. I like some of BFIIk17's maps well enough (the crashed Star Destroyer on J*kku and the cool conceit for a DS-II map stand out)

Clone Wars content is just not utilized interestingly enough to be worth it imo, feels like an aside

I sincerely ****** agree that Battlefront '15 is a better-made game. The UI is slick and very minimal, the weapon design's better, the selection is better, and I actually like the starcard system. There's a reason I play bot battles in BF '15 over real battles in BFIIk17.

Good ****** model though.

Galactic assault with walker assault mixed into the rotation would be perfect. My main gripe about GA vs WA is that the GA maps just become a funnel. You start out open, then work your way to a frustrating bottleneck every time... Kamino is the purest example. Just bad design.

Speaking of 2015 star cards though... I want Hutt Contracts back. Such a cool idea! I also really want the Sabotage game mode back...

Yeah this is a noticeable problem. Some bottlenecking is okay, when it feels like a natural part of the map-- again, the crash site on Jakku. But Kamino, despite everything, is a really **** map, and you know what? So is Mos Eisley. Mos Eisley ****** sucks.

The worst part is that the Prequel and Sequel Era content feels tacked on. The game is an opportunity to expand upon both in the new continuity that's just... wasted, and terribly.

We could use more gamemodes-- WA and GA at least, plus maybe something that isn't literally Overwatch: Spice Mines Edition

The sequel content does feel tacked on but that is mostly because there is just barely any real content to add. There are no Resistance or FO bombers, very few notable characters that aren't already in, almost no vehicles especially for the Resistance.... Everything is just lacking because there is just no world building in the sequels at all.

The prequel content is better now, especially after the Clone Wars customization update. Customization was still better in the first game though. And that said, there are STILL alien heads and outfits from 2015 that aren't in BF2... Why that is, I have no clue.

Honestly, they just need to get rid of the stupid class system. People whined and complained that they NEEDED a class system and I kept telling them...no, it will ruin the game... Lo and behold, it sucks. When you are restricted to a class, you can't customize your character as much because "classes need to be easy to identify", you are limited to what weapons and abilities you can have, and then everyone gets different health... BF2015 was better because ALL infantry had the same health and you could take on whatever role you wanted because you were free to equip any weapon and star card assortment you chose.

If I wanted to be an anti-vehicle specialist? No problem! Just take Ion Grenade, Bubble Shield, and Ion Shot for your sniper. Want to be a heavy weapons specialist that is also good against heroes? OK COOL! Stinger pistol, bowcaster, DTL19... Whatever. You see the point.

Sequels canon? No. I'm more of a 'accept them as a seperate universe and move on' guy myself.
