Thanks! Side note that can't be seen in the image... The "neck" has been skinned so that it actually bends when the head moves. Originally and in the first go of the new RotM model, it was just a static cylinder. It's subtle but looks so much better.

I love how these textures are made. It gives a sort of comic-book style. Better than trying to be as close as realistic, "from a certain point of view".

With game design, there are two ways to approach texture work and these ideas are even more prominent when dealing with RTS.

On one hand, you can do ultra-realistic textures that are super high-resolution and have tons of detail...and these textures look great up close. However, these textures often start to look "muddied" when far away.

OR

You can do textures that look great from a distance with lots of prominent and accentuated "sweet spots" of detail but that start to look simple up close...

It's very hard to find the middle ground where it looks decent from all distances. I try very hard to find that. Sometimes I succeed better than others but I'm glad the style this endeavor produces is at least appealing in and of itself. :)

Make th AT AT really slow, make the ratio of the AT AT to a stormtrooper larger, slow down the firing rate and laser speed, and make the AT AT footsteps LOUD. If you haven't already, I believe this will make this much more realistic. I don't know alot about modding,so sorry if it's alot to ask :D
