First of all, I don't see the bad of being animal-like... humans were always copying animal's movements, appearances, functions for their own purposes, and nature itself has evolved in such way that is magnificent....
for example I cant imagine a better concept for both stealth-ability and speed, than a shark....it is fast, it can reflect sonar waves and it looks menacing as well....
Secondly, not all Cybran units are based on animals, as Avitus already stated....and just to name a few and end all this conversation (about animalistic Cybran units) here:
1) ACU
2) T3 Tank
3) Gunship
4) T3 Fighter
5) most of the battleships
6) Loyalist......and the list goes on....
and please don't count the Wyvern (aka Cybran Dragon) as an animalistic design, cause I haven't seen such an animal in my life.....it is pure fantasy
Not so much, Dragons quite possibly did exist, every nation or tribe has some age old story about a fire-breathing flying lizard. In fact one archaeological dig found what was thought to be a T-rex skull but was found to have two chambers in its head that correspond with what is found in a Bombardier Beetle, two chambers that connected with the mouth (although the Bombard Beetle uses it's butt) could have quite easily contained two different chemicals designed for rapid fire flame-throwing.
Fun facts are cool eh?
Learn something new everyday. Oh and nice sub. :)
@TheSpudd, even if I doubt that finding you are reffering to, I too believe that something might have existed back then, because it's not a coincidence that dragons appear in almost all nations folklore..
thats exactly what i had in my mind when i asked for a cybran sub. absolutly stunning work !
but i can think of a few things to improve , for example , i think it would look great if there would be small armor plates at the sides of the head like the vanilla ACU has because the head now looks a bit undetailed and just like the one from the dreadnought. but thats just my opinion and i would still love the unit without these changes!
keep up the good work!
oh , i always forget these little things , i never think about that when looking close at those models im sorry
but its really hard to be patient with this mod its like... i know that you know what we all dont know yet xD
If you look carefully you'll notice two hollow boxes in the front top...these are missile silos, which fire 2 missiles each.... I intent for them to be general purpose guided missiles, which means they can fire at both air and sea targets...
predatory diving beetle...lol...i guess the little things get their revenge when dr brackman infuses their brains into a gargantuan mechanized version of themselves
then were all ****** lol
First: Your work is AWESOME good. I like the look of all 3 Factions but my faforite are the Cybrans ;). Hold on the gread work.
2nd: Did you plan to create new maps ? Because the old one are very BOARING now at all. And with this huge mass of differend big units it will be a good thing to create big maps. ;)
Well its a shark......are all the Cybran units going to be animal like?
There not all animal like, there are plenty that are just robot looking and many more just robot looking models yet to come :)

Cybran (Cyborgs) = Imitate Nature (Creatures)
UEF (Humans) = Imitate Machines (Irony?)
Illuminate (Half Breeds) = Shiny Things
XD
Let the modders create their work of art, just be amazed!

@OmeG True...True...True...and THANKS !!!!!!
NP ;D Keep up the awesome work guys!
agreed bro agreed, similar to the ancient astronaut theory
Thank you for the reply.
;)
Great concept imo
thanks !
Tech lv and armament?
well they are designed to be like insects
It will look more like a shark and less like a dolphin if the dorsal tail is longer than the ventral tail
you really pay too much attention to these things ?
it's a sub, it has to store some things or two :P
hinting towards missile sub? (plz say yes!!!)

the details will be implemented with the textures...people....dont forget the textures ;)

(Plays the music from Jaws)
it also looks like a Orca :D
reminds me of the sub zoid from zoids.
kinda...
Google.com
well its not that heavy armed xD
The intake/engines in the sides, were intended to be missile launchers in the beginning...but I decided to keep them as engines :)
oh ok i thought those things were intakes :D
as I already said, right now yes, they are intakes/engines....they wont be missile launchers anymore !
Wow I was think that just rocket))
hey leo , the UEF submarine has a tiny gun that can shoot when its not underwater , does this one have something like this too?
If you look carefully you'll notice two hollow boxes in the front top...these are missile silos, which fire 2 missiles each.... I intent for them to be general purpose guided missiles, which means they can fire at both air and sea targets...
YES!!
almost feel like it needs tentacles...tentacles on a shark would be cool but then that would make it a kraken. what tech level is it?
also, will there be any submersible battleships? id like to see a shark come up outta the water with a bunch of gun batteries on it.
Would hav preferred a predatory diving beetle but hey thisi can work.
predatory diving beetle...lol...i guess the little things get their revenge when dr brackman infuses their brains into a gargantuan mechanized version of themselves

Greatings from AUSTRIA !!
looks like that this thing could also fly, pretty good :)
