Required:
1. [DVD-ROM] BIOHAZARD2 PC (SOURCENEXT, 2006) for Windows XP/2000
2. PC the above software can be run on (I used Windows10 64bit PC)
Installation:
Please note that I assume no responsibility if a problem occurs.
1. Full install BIOHAZARD2 from DVD-ROM.
2. Download "komizo_bio2_202.zip" and unpack.
3. Copy over "BIOHAZARD 2 PC" folder in "komizo_bio2_201.zip" to your installation folder. ("...\CAPCOM\BIOHAZARD 2 PC")
4. Run "toos_ver2_0_0.exe" or "toos(HARD)_ver2_0_0.exe" in your installation folder.
5. Load savedata "The Origin of Species" and enjoy playing!
6. If you need an English translation, plesese install "Resident Evil 2 Classic REbirth" patch of "The Apple of Eden", and start the game from "[Resident Evil 2 Overhaul Mod] - The Origin of Species".
Cautions:
- You need to re-install if you want to play the original game again.
- Please confirm the game is started with "toos_ver2_0_0.exe", or many errors will occur.
- If you start the game without the savedata, the first door won't open.
- [new!] Don't save/load when you're playing as Sherry with cheats, or Claire's menu screen will be broken.

Amazing mod! Just a question, I think my game has glitched. When you jump off the cable car to the factory, you have put a locker there that contains a cable. However the locker does not open for me, not matter what I try. Can you help me with this? Thank you.
I couldn't confirm the bug, though I tried again and again. The Item ID may be something wrong. I'll try to fix it.

I have answered you here because I have EXACTLY the same error of the other boy who has commented and after watching videos of people passing me the mod, I discovered that it was a bug. I will try to update the game with the latest version to see if it is fixed.

i cant get the first door to work. I have installed it exactly as instructed copying it into the original folder. when i select "load game" there is no "origin of species" option, just "leon max" and "claire max".
what am I doing wrong???
If you start the game without the savedata, the first door won't open. I guess your savedata folder is moved. Please find your savedata folder and copy the files in "\BIOHAZARD 2 PC\savedata" there.

In Origin of Species, the latest version, Claire's scenario, how are you supposed to get into the Culture Experiment Room when you need two finger prints, are you supposed to play Leon's scenario before playing Claire's like in the normal scenarios? I couldn't get into the room to get the weapon box key, which lets you get the power room key. Please, I am so confused, this has softlocked the game for me it seems. This mod is absolutely amazing and I can not thank you enough for all the work you put into it.

The game is crashing in the "East Office" Leon scenario
Hi Komizo! Im having a problem. After factory (in Leons campaing 1.7) when im going down to the labs, i get crash to desktop after the cutscene of train going down, just before ada is about to get hit from birkins arm. Is there a way to fix this? Im using gemini patch.

To fix the problem in the factory that crashes the game when you go down; before entering the train-like wagon, first, you must activate the panel that is just outside the train-like wagon (otherwise the game will always crash). (Don't go into the train-like wagon first).

Are there any other ink ribbons aside from the ones you get at the beginning? I traversed a good chunk of the RPD and found literally none. Ended up dying to Birkin. Good mod. But I think the ability to save a little more frequently would've been a good thing.
You get more Ink Ribbons from Mr. X corpse after you knockout him.
