Republic at War is a total conversion modification for Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption. The mod replaces the Empire with the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance with the Confederacy. Republic at War focuses heavily on the theatrical films but also contains content from the Clone Wars cartoon series as well as the expanded universe. Players can re-enact various Clone War campaigns such as the Outer Rim Sieges. Players will have the choice to fight as either the CIS or the Republic and wage war for control of the galaxy. Realism is key and players will have unprecedented control over how and where they fight. Push forward with an entire clone legion such as the 501st or 212th or overwhelm your opponent with a seemingly endless number of B1 battledroids. The choice is yours. There are also a number of expansions planned that will add new (as well as polish existing) content.

Question about the AI, has the cruiser doom-fleet spam been fixed? I am tired of being stomped with late-game cruiser eaters because of 100 cruiser fleets droping into the map and eating anything I throw at them alive.

Also do the CIS still start with so many Lucrehulks? I felt it was a massive unbalancing factor given that 2 of them carry enough fighers and bombers to erase a level 5 starbase with support.

I was murdured on coruscant by 20 lucrehulks and 10 bulwarks and 8 providence 15 munificent and 999999999999999999999999999999999 starfighter squadrons against.............. pride of core 3 star destroyers and 15 venators :(

yea the fleet spam is the only thing that kept me from playing this mod. I mean, early game you can cope, but once you start getting into the late game, with the massive amounts of ships they pull out from nowhere, its pretty obvious the AI cheats.

If you have to give the AI a slight boost to keep it interesting, so be it, but making it "Difficult" by giving them craptons of ships? that's just cheap.

But that's from an old version from long ago, who knows if the new version will be like that.

I recommend a W-165 Planetary Turbolaser. It one-shots anything short of the Malevolence and recharges alarmingly fast for such a powerful weapon. All yours for 20,000 credits

well i won 2 wars against the CIS and 1 against the republic but yeah, its hard at the beginning, they spam a lot of capital ships, but you have to take those planets with good income, try defend ground more than space and eventually you will get the advantage, try to cut the space roads with massive amount of ships and let other non important planets with a few, that will help you, sorry for my english lol and good luck!!

The Ai aint that hard. u have to be smart and use everything u got.
Which was pretty hard for me was the fact that ones i Reached the Southern part of the map i was no longer able of controlling my units .... kept me from winning one GC multiple times as Republic.

maybe i did not point it out correctly. i was talking about the AI in this particular GC.

Tweaking the complete AI needs time and i'm still not behind its magic completely yet. We are trying to "fix" the massive GC movements and attacks for 1.2 but there is much else to do. We have plans for the AI after 1.2. It will get an overall upgrade. For this release we are aiming at the easy AI in galactic mode basically.

Took those two pictures while testing how strong the AI is in the new Core Assault GC.

Unfortunately i was not able to implement everything we wanted to have for this GC as playing the republic due some engine issues. Playing as CIS however works pretty well.
The the AI is as far as i could test very decent. You maybe do not want to play this GC with "Easy" settings if you seek the challenge.
