Republic at War is a total conversion modification for Star Wars Empire at War Forces of Corruption. The mod replaces the Empire with the Galactic Republic and the Rebel Alliance with the Confederacy. Republic at War focuses heavily on the theatrical films but also contains content from the Clone Wars cartoon series as well as the expanded universe. Players can re-enact various Clone War campaigns such as the Outer Rim Sieges. Players will have the choice to fight as either the CIS or the Republic and wage war for control of the galaxy. Realism is key and players will have unprecedented control over how and where they fight. Push forward with an entire clone legion such as the 501st or 212th or overwhelm your opponent with a seemingly endless number of B1 battledroids. The choice is yours. There are also a number of expansions planned that will add new (as well as polish existing) content.

Hehe, reminds me of something I once did, 2 Kadalbe battleships and 3 corvettes the consortium had, I took out BOTH battleships with my LEVEL 1 spacestation, was busy for 20 minutes microing my bombers. Ohh the good old times.
Yeah, you could pretty much hold off any attack until your hangar bay was destroyed. After that, you had no forces and you had to watch your space station slowly get torn apart. It would be more realistic if fighters came out of the hangar and reinforcements came from the communications array.

Use strategy.
Even with a decent strategy... i doubt you stand a chance.... well testing will show us... may suggest Z to add a weakness to them if they not allready have one
Don't forget unit cap... those ships wouldn't come at him all at once.
Make a bigger fleet.

you take a shipyard out by sending a bunch of stealth raid groups to attack the ground soyou take out the thing by converting the planet. i hate when the rebellion does that. just got the tech 5 starbase with 20 imperial star destroyers and about to attack and they take out my station by converting the planet.
Yeah, raiding strategy sucks. You would have to fill every land position with troops to be secure if they attack like that.
Or you just get 2 garison buildings who provided you with adequate troops to defend ya planet. Raid teams aren't big eh. First time shall be hard, but after that you have your turrets etc in position and you gonna own em with ease.

Hopefully not in this mod. I prefer the Republic but that doesn't mean I won't be playing as the CIS every once and a while. Z will fix the balance hopefully.

Remember you guys, this was only a lvl 5 station, Z said that if you combine the station with a ground-to-space weapon, even the almighty Mandator could be swept away like a leaf in a torrent of water.

Ohh.. my space force was 5 Munificents, 1 Lucrehulk, 1 Providence Carrier, 4 Patrol Frigates. The Shipyard sends in reinforcements.. I received about 7 additional Munificents, 4 Technounion Frigates and maybe 8 Patrol Frigates.
Not to mention the mammoth hoard of fighters and bombers eh?
In all honesty, play smart and the fight will be easy. Although I would like to see how the AI acts like, fights against AI become predictable.

That's because our space station are much less powerful and can not defend themselves as well. They rely on Starships to protect them. Something that will eventually be changed because it is much more realistic that a Shipyard should be heavily defended.

Has no one considered the fact that maybe building up to a level 5 space stations takes a ton of credits? That would only be true for realistic balance.
That and not every planet can have a level 5 station.
do the a.i. use level 5 shipyards? because if they dont thats not going to be a challenge.

yu know how the asteriods n debries are like barriers?... wut r their uses? i mean its not like my ships' weapons' range r long enough to shoot over them n my ships just crash inside them... only units that can go over the debries r like x-wing n bombers...
