Red Doom began as a simple SP mod for Red Faction...it has now evolved into one of the biggest mods for RF.
25 years before Parker set a foot on the Red Planet, Ultor was already messing with genetics and DNA. On this particular day a small explosion causes an outbreak of a deadly disease known simply as Z-Virus.
You are John Hunter, an ex-marine and now part of the SRS (Special Rescue Service). On your debut mission, to the Ultor Research Facility on Mars, you will learn what it is to survive.

Yeah, I finally got a build I was happy with.
Unfortunately my life is taking me away from games/modding but with a bit of encouragement I found some time to finish RD as much as possible. Maybe once I've finished my course I'll try some more modding.. and hopefully for a more powerful engine. Enjoy the mod.

You cannot save and load during the first map, after the level change, you can then save and load
Ugh, L4Y decided they didn't want to host files anymore so this mod is now forever lost since there aren't any mirrors.

I have a copy I downloaded in March (I think) the files inside the .RAR are dated 2006. That's probably the last release.
I uploaded it to my dropbox, here's the link:

Copy/extract the reddoom folder inside the archive into your RedFaction\mods\ folder.
I tested it on Windows 7, i5, ATI HD6950 with the Pure Faction 3.0 launcher, which made launching the mod very easy. I had to reassign my keys though, it didn't copy those from the default game. Played maybe half-way through the mod, works fine.

Got as far as a section with two doors marked 1 and 2, and 6 biohazard cells containing zombies. Couldn't figure out how to open them to progress, none of the walls were destructable, so I gave up.
Shame, I actually wanted to finish this one. :-(
Blow up all the electronics in the top room either by using explosives, melee weapons or regular weapons then all the doors unlock except for Door 1 and you have to fight all the zombies and red dudes that come out of the cells.
when i download it nothing happens can sombody help reply back plz
why doesnt anyone just get the Red faction Luancher...its meant to launch mods without having to change the command line...i use it all the time=)
PureFaction works great too for launching mods.
