Rigs are heavily armored repair vehicles constructed by the Soviet Union. As their increasing usage of armored units the Soviets needed a reliable support vehicle to keep their Armored Divisions in peak condition and the inefficiency of Service Depots in the past made it so the Soviet Engineers come up with a radical unit to fulfill the demand. The Rig is equipped with a specially-designed Repair Welder that allows it to repair units in the field. Due to their large size they are immune to crusher weapons. A Rig is also required for the construction of Soviet MCVs in the battlefield due to the Rig having access and clearance to field them out since only they have access to their blueprints.
This is just pure awesomeness. I'm guessing that this is the Soviet answer to the Allied Repair IFV, and I completely approve.
