An expansion/overhaul mod of epic proportions, with entirely rebalanced gameplay, expanded factions, new gametypes, graphical overhauls, and five new factions; stealth-based Confederate Revolutionaries, tower defense-inspired Atomic Kingdom of China, economy-focused Mediterranean Syndicate, DotA-esque Order of the Talon and spammy Electrical Protectorate.
When units in Paradox hit "Heroic" veterancy (that's when they have a star beside their health bar) they gain new weapons or features they did not have previously. These can be suplimentary weapons, replacement weapons, passive abilties or buffs, and so forth. In the case of the Vindicator, the machine is refitted into the Vindicator Lightning, which replaces the bomb bay with a three-ton anti-tank chain gun. Ammunition is still limited, but because the machine will only fire as many shots as it needs to to take down a target, so you don't have to worry about stop-micro on your Vindicators at this level.

you may be right, but i think it will have enough range to take out a bullfrog before it would normaly had dropped its bombs :)

Through the idea seems cool,I think the AP chaingun only made this a more mobile Longbow,I really liked how the Vindi was a tactical bomber,not a sweeper.

The Longbow Mk2 is for shattering ice. I want my vindis to bomb and RTB,they are precision bombers,not gunships to sweep.Anyway,as if I give a damn about Allies.
It doesn't sweep; it pours fire onto single targets.

Cool idea- it could be nice to have it not waste any bombs.
I didn't like it at first, but then I remembered the Vindicator is being retooled to be more anti-tank, so it fits.
The Vindicator re-tooling I am still highly suspicious of and mostly opposed to- but I like this upgrade.

That's not exactly doable, code wise, and would be really irritating, gameplay wise.
and would be pointless its like saying oh you got heroic vet now do you want the benifts or should i just leave it? how would that be usefull?
I think a more reputable idea would be switching between rockets or machine gun?
The chain gun cool(AWESOME) and all, but it just doesnt seem to fit with the vindicator, and how are is the bomber guna use it?

I imagine the Chain-gun fires powerful bullets quickly with a limited ammo supply- compared to other machine guns.
Thus, it would need to be mounted on a fast aircraft like the Vindicator so that it could be frequently re-armed.
I think it would be better to place a gun under each wing. This would avoid the confusion of replacement vs add-on. If it is on the nose why remove the bombs from the wings?
because its a RA3 A-10?
space, its simple, to support enough bullets to feed its high powered chain gun (not to mention the massive size of the gun i think i read 3 tons somewhere)you can't fit the bombs in.
the gattlinggun wasn't designed for the A-10
the A-10 was designed to have a gattlingun. this just does to show the weight of these weapons.

nice gattling gun idea, but i think there should be unlimited ammo, not so powerful bullets, and the bombs should still be there, the gun should be an extra add-on
now thats what a vindicator needs since on the original game it only launch bombs and then go away making it a not so useful plane in the game so thats a good idea in the game but i agree with Japandarkmaster the bombs should stay
