An expansion/overhaul mod of epic proportions, with entirely rebalanced gameplay, expanded factions, new gametypes, graphical overhauls, and five new factions; stealth-based Confederate Revolutionaries, tower defense-inspired Atomic Kingdom of China, economy-focused Mediterranean Syndicate, DotA-esque Order of the Talon and spammy Electrical Protectorate.
The Alert is an alternate tier3 naval cruiser that can smash apart enemy ships (even submerged submarines) with its armoured prow as well as freeze enemies with its heavy cryoblaster. Though shorter ranged and incapable of dealing direct ranged damage like the Aircraft Carrier, the Alert has more health and is generally a more robust choice against anti-surface ships. When paired with the Aircraft Carrier it is capable of freezing enemy anti-air defenses, leaving the Carrier with an unobstructed path to unleash aerial mayhem.
cool
Kick *** :D this actually balances it out a bit are you making other tier 3 units for the other factions? :)
Yes. Essentially, everyone is getting a direct-attack battleship to compliment the bombardment ship. The Alert for the Allies, the Potamakin Battleship for the Soviets, and the Starspirit for the Japanese (though that's got more features besides, like the ability to fly and the largest Wave Force Gun in the game)
What Country is it from?
Northernmost Canada, the settlement of Alert, appropriately.
Sweet :D.
Although cryo tech is from the Netherlands.
It's been a few years, the technology has been passed around to the varoius nations by now. Keeping a technology secret from your own allies would be pretty silly you know.
I liked the model
Would this unit gain veterancy by crushing, or it would not, like all cryo units and most MCVs?
We... aren't sure. I should test that.
It will definately get experience for cryocrushes but I don't know about regular ramming.
They look like the allied gunboats from Red Alert.
Awesome :D
I think cryo tech is rlly annoying when u fight agnist it :P
Yes, but good counters against the Alert would be air-based anti-ground, like Vindicators and Twinblades. Of course, then you'd have to worry about Hydrofoils... What's really bad is when you get both Alerts AND Cryocopters heading your way.
