Bored of playing the same build order over and over again? Sick of hearing unit voices? Well quit being a player and become a commentator today!

(Lol I just thought it would spice the replays up a bit)

It might actually be a good idea, watching the replays can be very handy to learn a few things (everyone forgets about the sparrow!) but having a commentator would be even better.

I'd just have to try and set up a mike.

As an official voice actor of the mod, I declare myself eligible to read as a commentator

Understanding the game (and the metagame, which there's not really much of atm) and having an understandable voice are about the only necessary things for a VoD. If you're doing an FPVoD (VoD of yourself playing) then you actually need to be able to play well.

It's a 3 ppl FFA, the empire starts with quad refinerys, the allies starts with an early airfield and WHAT!? The soviet player starts with 3 barrax and is pumping out conscripts!!!

but what's this? the allies have gone straight for an early mesofortress, and they've destroyed all 4 of the empire player's refineries! that's going to set them back infinitely. fortunately the conscripts will be pretty unphased by this.

The Allied player has gonna an Isospinner and he is hiding it under a GAP tower! And the Soviet player has just moved out! He is heading straight for the Allied base and he has forgotten to scout! And here comes the battle and OoH... that Isospinner does terrible terrible damage to the conscript division, completely wiping it out. Let's look at the units lost tab. Oh wait I forgot, RA3 does NOT have a units lost tab. Silly me.

Meanwhile, the Empire player appears to have gotten back on his feet, if only for the moment. He's got 2 refineries rebuilt, a Mecha Bay, and... Is that an Auto Go and a Tengu? Whatever could he have up his sleeve?

I feel so tempted to commentate that there was a DC that wrecked the game, but it would ruin everyone else's fun

lol. Why dont we actually grab some replays from the replay thread and commentate on them.

I'd have done so by now, but getting a mike set up is annoyingly hard!

EDIT: got it set up, tried to add cometary, but I can't hear anything coming out!

Whoever does should set them up on their Moddb, or send it to the devs to post on the Paradox Moddb. Then again there is always youtube..

I was trying to add actual commentary to the Replay, seeing as there is an option for it in the game, but it didn't seem to work. I have no idea why...

Maybe cos its paradox.
