After the end of Third World War, the balance of world's greatest powers has been restored. While healing their wounds and adapting to live in the new world, humanity was not ready for the new enemy. Out of nowhere (and no-when) a new Crusade starts. And the fate of the whole world depends on its success.

This is lore-friendly project that aims to further improve original RA3 experience, particularly make multiplayer more balanced, add new units and gameplay elements. The biggest planned feature is the new fan-made story based on original RA3 and Uprising events. It will include new campaigns and a couple of additional missions.


It features:

  • New story including three new singleplayer/multiplayer campaigns based on RA3 and Uprising events: The Last Crusade, Dark Assault, and one more
  • Improved balance aimed to fair Multiplayer

Beta 0.2.0 version of my project is ready and already uploaded.

In this article we are going to talk about new features, the future of my mod and why did i rename it.


Yes, now my project is called "Entropy".

Shortest definition of entropy is a measure of chaos.

I made this decision because my project outgrew the original idea of three small SP/co-op campaigns and balance changes. Now i see it as large project with it's own lore that continues original RA3/Uprising events, and adds brand new gameplay elements.

I am going to leave the name "The Last Crusade" for the main campaign, because the event that has become a catalyst for this story is called "The Crusade".


Now, regarding new features

Beta 0.2.0, being Japanese Update, brings a lot of changes to Empire of the Rising Sun. Most of them are shown in this article.


New unit and balance changes



First, a new unit called Oblivion

Tier 3, 3200$, 20 sec.

Oblivion


Oblivion - is a Japanese flying aircraft carrier/heavy bomber aircraft that assembles kamikaze planes.

As long as it plays two roles: long-range carrier and short-range bomber, it is not as good at both roles as vehicles specially designed for this roles (namely, Aircraft Carrier and Kirov Airship).

As secondary ability, Oblivion carries up to 5 troops or one vehicle.

Mecha Tengu, Riptide ACV and Sickle deal slightly more DPS vs infantry due to improved rate of fire.

Changed the FX of the Commissar's rush ability and Raider's attack

Final squadron aircrafts deal more damage with their guns

Wave-Force Artillery's width of attack increased

New easter eggs

...and more little changes i forgot about


Infantry cover taking system



Entropy Mod announces new gameplay element - now, infantry will take covers behind different destructible obstacles, buldings or even vehicles. Taking cover will improve armor of the infantry unit againist normal attacks (bullets, cannons), but not energy, toxin, cryo weapon and so on.

It will give the infantry more tactical value on the battlefield.

Now, as a test, this effect is applied to Soviet bunker. Cover effect shown as Iron Curtain effect so you can see if infantry took the cover. In future, this effect will get it's own FX

So have anyone understand what is "Raider" role.
It say "Hack enemy vehicle. turn into a useless piece of junk"
I heard the effect but I don't understand what it doing. For the effect is
"Window shut down" melody and a bit of Old dial-up melody

Raider applies negative effects to enemy vehicles AND base defences. It reduces speed, fire rate, and range of vision. This effect is very noticeable, because it reduces overall efficiency of vehicle or base defence in like two times.

Notice that the raider is only ground unit that weakens base defences, which is very useful in infantry attacks.

Raider is supposed to give you money in secondary mode, like oil derrick but with lesser amount of money. It is not finished at the moment so raider gives you money in default mode.

The map "Revenge Islands" will always be there to remind THAT it STILL
King for RTS.

What about Zero-k , Planetary Annihilation or Ashe of the singularity

Hi

I love Supreme Commander, i played FAF for like 8 years and used to make mods for Supreme Commander, so i wanted to play one of my favorite maps in my second favorite RTS, and i don't deny that Revenge Islands is from Supreme Commander. I plan to import even more maps from this game to RA3.

I agree that Planetary Annihilation is poorly executed and so on, but why to write about it on RA3 mod page? I doubt that RA3-related page is good for expressing opinion about other games.

Just reminiscing on good old game.
And seeing the map remind me C&C 3 kane wrath. There someone make a map that is similar to Supcom.
I can't remember the name of it.

It a 2v2 desert map with high mountain and a choke point in and out of base
