Raising the Bar is a mod based off of the idea of amalgamating the earliest concepts of Half-Life 2 into a coherent story. This mod is not a leak-fix, nor is it a concept art recreation gallery; it will be a full story with inspiration from the old material as well as our own ideas of how to make it all fit together.

really more of an AR1 the AR2 was based on the old cut combine flare gun / rifle thing.
Tho this model really makes me want to see iron sight and 3d scopes in the mod as it would allow the player to effectively use both regular fire mode and the grenade launcher.
For example
LMB = fire primary
Mouse Wheel AKA Mouse 3 = using the scope
RMB = 20x85mm GL
However regular hip fire with the GL would make the grenade detonate on contact while firing the grenade launcher with the scope would make the grenade explode based of proximity to the target IE smart combine recycled or manufactured 20x85mm HE grenades.
It's the only way I can think of to keep both grenade functions as both were being tested during the beta stages of HL2s development. :/

AR3 is a theory, and that weapon is mentionated on Ep2 how you say, this is a HL2 beta Mod, we will add all beta weapons and deleted weapons, no more. ;) but thanks for the interest :)
The scope on the w-model has one button while the v-model has three. Otherwise it's perfect!

Looks awesome! Easily one of my favorite Half-Life weapons.
I always wondered how would this weapon work. I mean, it has both the alt fire and scope, so how would you use it in game?
I know the mod is discontinued, but is this part of the released resources? Moreover has a texture (even a simple one) been applied to this yet? I can texture but I'm not good at UV mapping.
