Description
"The Nuclear facility in Poland is found in ruins, and Soviet intelligence realises there must be a Chronosphere somewhere in the vicinity. Unable to annihilate the German front line as simply as before, the Russians deploy a heavy ground force to remove the Allies' advantage."
I'm glad that the barrels have been removed, very clever of those darn Germans.
I hope there are more bases like this around the map, the original felt empty. You could make a mining base out of that abandoned Ore Refinery to the south.
Due to the stronger border stations, the idea is that the Allies had more time to set things up this time around, so almost every outpost is a bit more built-up and defended than before. Nothing here is final, and I think this map could always do with more jazzing up.
That is good! Because the Deja Vu mission is laughably simple once you learn that you can just rush the laboratory.
Plus, European nations were at war with the USSR since Mission 6, so the border should have looked like this originally.
I agree with the jazzing up. Maybe add a small village in the way occupied with Allied troops would do good things for the ambience.
Or maybe some more trees, since it's supposed to be a forest.
I always wondered about geography of this mission. Since Black Forest is basically on the French border, which would mean that this map is almost the width of southern Germany. Plus the Soviet troops have to be attacking from Czechoslovakia.
