FIXED
- Weapon staying after picking up in SP
- Draw animation not playing when picking up new weapon
- Unused precaches removed
- Corpses causing elevators to stop or reverse (probably)
ADDED
- Optional sound files to mute the Q2 hit sound
(I will make this a toggle later)
Here to say it doesn't work on GLQuake, neither WinQuake. Stuff is too detailed for them.
Tested on 86Box with the Voodoo3 GPU option.
works fine for me, the solution is to stop using an emulator

Why are you using an emulator to play Quake? There are dozens of modern source ports for Quake and QuakeWorld (Ironwail, VKQuake, DarkPlaces, Quakespasm, FTEQW, ezQuake, etc).
even doe quake is still at that phase where all source ports try too hard to be different from vanilla

Doesn't work on the Steam version (remastered)! I did everything as written in the instructions - it doesn't work.
How to install and run this mod for the Steam version:
- To install, go to the Quake directory and unpack the archive with the mod there.
- Then in the game we go into the single player game, select a level and in the “episode” menu select “blood and iron”.
This mod does not work for other episodes. Author, please make it so that you can play all the episodes with this mod - personally, I really want to play the new episode “Dimension of the Machine” with this mod.
Everything is perfect for me, with the exception of one small silly thing that you haven't done yet, it's something you have even in Vanilla, we noticed that the Super Shotgun has a more powerful recoil that even disappears from the screen depending on the FOV, and it goes more towards the rear than upwards as seen in the video, try to apply this as soon as possible please.
