That's pretty cool. I like more than I should the new weapon models (At least in Quakespasm Spiked it switches seamlessly between the original and the enhanced models, sadly it does not work with other packs like Block Quake), and probably will be running this along maps for a while.

As a reference (I'm using Quakespasm Spiked), you can combine the -game bni with any map pack just adding it to the arguments (i.e. -game sm217 -game bni).

A few thoughts:

* Could we get an option to make weapon switch as fast as in Quake 1 (Or at least faster than in Quake 2, making the animation play faster)? It's honestly the only thing I dislike from this mod (but still, I never really liked the gunplay in Quake 2, so I'm totally biased here).

* Speaking of weapon switch, I've noticed that when you have a weapon, deplete its ammo and then pick up ammo again for that weapon, it switches automatically (A la Quake 1, without executing the draw weapon animation) to that weapon. This is on Quakespasm Spiked.

* A minimal... bug? I tested it with the first level of the sm217, and one corpse made the first lift stuck until I gibbed it. It's not so important, and the lift seems to be a big bugged out on its own, but this may cause issues on other scenarios.

* Not sure how it would work with mods like Arcane Dimensions, but obviously being able to gib enemies with the normal axe will break progression in some maps.

All in all, neat work! Its great to see more gameplay related mods for Quake!

Weapon switch swap animation can be cancelled by firing. I decided that would probably work best to keep the Quake balance.

I released a patch that (should) fix the lift problem

Does this not work for the expansions? I can't get it working for the new or old expansions only the og quake episodes
