This is an original laser repair from the game Command and Conquer 4?

No, it is hammer tank's leech beam effect.
It is too difficult to get the original laser texture so I use this to temporally hold the place.

I hope he can repair the buildings, this could be used to repair his, allied, and civil buildings.
Well, like, after a low level of strength, the civil structure can no longer be occupied, it would be nice if at least this unit could repair them.

What about a special ability? Will the Advanced Engineer have any special ability?

Yes, he can repair buildings.
And the special ability is just the same as original allies engineer but it is more versatile. When enable the special ability he cannot repair anything, instead he can heal surrounding allies infantries. In this status his velocity will be 50% slower.

This is cool, much better than the original allied engineer.

Interestingly, if an Advanced Engineer is put in an IFV, then an IFV can shoot this repair laser?

If the original engineer is put in the IFV, the IFV gun changes to a repair crane that repairs the equipment, though it works like a melee.

Of course that IFV will use Repair Beam with 50% more efficiency than original Advanced Engineer's beam.

Can Repair Beam be used to repair helicopters and aircraft?

Now I realized that no.

It’s a pity that the game does not allow the engineer to automatically repair objects and units

Yeah I noticed that too - what's up with the limitations in regards to auto repairs? Though surprisingly enough this is the only unit that can repair neutral structures?
